Quick Glass Etching Alternative
Use this somewhat safer, and certainly quicker, alternative to the look of etched glass to create a jar for cotton balls, a catch-all for your nightstand or dresser, or as an essential oil diffuser.
Just Mask and Paint
Like traditional etching projects, you will create a stencil using vinyl. Instead of using etching cream though, you will use a special spray paint. Detailed instructions are included with the download.
Gifts or Favors
Not only are these great for around your home, they also make wonderful gifts or wedding favors! Using paint instead of etching cream makes these much easier to produce in mass too. I hope you enjoy this DIY faux etched glass jar!
Materials:
Vinyl – about 5 x 5 inch (just use a scrap)
Glass jar, rectangular, with or without lid, with side surface about 3 x 3 inches
Frost spray paint (Rustoleum)
