DIY Congrats Shaker Card
This project sprang from the Happy Shaker Glitter Card and the stars cut out from an upcoming project.
Easily Resizable
Start to finish, this 5″ x 7 ” card takes about 20 to 30 minutes, and can be resized smaller, such as to 4″ x 6″ . Both the original size of 5″ x 7″ or the modified size of 4″ x 6″ are easily mailable.
Repurpose Clear Plastic for the Shaker
Originally I had planned to utilize a Pazzles Mat plastic cover for the card window but ended up using the no gusset treat bags I found at the local imported dollar variety store. If you do use the Pazzles Mat be sure to thoroughly clean it with glass cleaner or alcohol wipes to remove any mat adhesive residue. The window could also be made with a corner of a plastic sheet protector cut to size with the non-connected side glued and thoroughly dried before filling with the star confetti. If you don’t have metallic papers for the title and stars you could use a metallic paint pen or even nail polish to coat stars cut from just about any cardstock; since it’s a window and the confetti is seen from both sides, be sure to paint one side and let thoroughly dry, then paint the other side and let thoroughly dry before inserting into the window.
