DIY Perfect Match Treat Box
I needed a cute box to hold matchstick cookies and I found this project in the Pazzles library by Lisa Reyna. It was perfect for these cookies, so I just re-imaged the project to reflect a Valentine’s Day theme.
Clever “Match Box” Comes Together in 30 Minutes
Valentine’s Day is one of the most celebrated days of the year. So why not let your sweetheart know that he/she is your perfect match with this simple but adorable project. Takes about 30 minutes from cut to assemble.
Box Includes Gift Card Holder and Sliding Box
The box measures approximately 4 x 2 ½ x 1 inch. Has an attached pocket envelope at top of the box which can hold a gift card. The inner box can hold a treat, cookie, pack of gum, candy, or small gift. I also added glitter pieces on both sides to resemble strike patches. It is all held together with a removable sleeve that displays how you feel.
Customize and Fill with Treats
I personally will make about twenty boxes and place matchstick cookies to sell. You can also make changes to the design. Or better yet add your own flair to this project with embellishments. Tie twine or ribbon around the box. Search the Pazzles library for Valentine’s Day die cuts to glue onto box.
Whatever you decide to place on the box, have fun creating and I hope you enjoyed making this project.
