DIY Emoji Lamp
Upcycle a thrifted lamp (or get a new one) for a whimsical addition to your space or gift for a child’s room or emoji-loving teen’s room with vinyl emoji shapes from the Pazzles Craft Room.
Quick, Beginner Friendly Project
This project only takes maybe two minutes to complete! Choose the face, cut the vinyl, adhere the vinyl, done! These lamps are about 8 inches tall including the light socket. The face added takes up approximately 2 inches square but could be resized somewhat according to preference.
Though I haven’t tried it I would think that the face parts could be made from paper and either adhered with a temporary adhesive such as double-sided removable tape, or permanently adhered with a permanent adhesive. Paper pieces could be sealed up with Mod Podge before adding them to the lamp.
Makes A Great Prop for A Party or Classroom
It might be fun to add feet or hands to the underneath and sides of the lamp, at least as part of the gifting process. These could be used as part of a baby shower to represent a face experiencing an idea —the light bulb— to be part of the party activity of guessing the name the parents have chosen for the baby, or other baby name games.
Add this to an elementary classroom as a prop for input from the students for sharing time, student-choice time, or other fun uses. What will you use this project for?
