DIY Desktop Hello Garden Pallet
I saw some fun things made with Dollar Tree items and decided to go have a look and see what I might be able to create with the inexpensive items sold there. I brought home some mini pallets planning to make a box and got some small faux flowers for another project from Walmart and in looking over my purchases while putting them away this project sprung to life.
A Cheery Workspace Addition Made from a Mini Pallet
This project can be a gift, a reception desk decoration, a cheery addition to your workstation, or an addition to a tiered tray or bathroom shelf display.
The pallet is approximately 4 by 6 inches; if mini pallets are difficult to find, a similar result could be obtained with craft sticks or rectangular dowels.
Assemble in 15 Minutes and Decorate As You Please
This project is fairly easy and assembles quickly in about 15 minutes or thereabouts.
Customize with different flowers, colored ribbon, sparkly paper, and so forth. Add some small wooden clothespins facing outward along the top on either side of the swag bow and on the backside in the center at the top, facing up, and clip 4 by 6-inch photo prints to display fun memories.
Instead of adding the blocks, add a hanging wire or ribbon at the top and display it on a wall or inside the back of a shelf unit.
Supplies:
Mini wood pallet from Dollar Tree
2 blocks from Dollar Tree Tower game
4 by 2 cardstock, light blue (or color of your choice)
Hot glue gun & stick or E6000 (see step 2)
Dimensional foam stickers (0.25 inch squares)
Faux small flowers
About 16 to 18 inches of ⅝ inch grosgrain ribbon
