‘Bookworm’ Scrapbook Layout and a Giveaway from ARC Crafts!

Scrapbook Layout Bookworm A Day In the Life

My daughter spends hours reading every day. A weekly trip to the public library is never enough for her. She burns through a stack of books in just a few days. I caught her laying on the couch with her books the other day and decided it was a perfect moment to document.

Wood grain is a trendy addition to your paper craft projects and we’ve loved using  ARC Crafts BARC Wood Paper in our projects lately like our National Scrapbooking Day Mini Album and our On The Move Collection Tags. I’ve used the BARC Wood Paper again today in three different ways on my scrapbook layout.

I used it as part of my smaller title to show off how intricate you can cut it. I used it with the Washi Tape cutting file to create cool wood washi tape. For my Bookworm title I first used a gold Sharpie and the Inspiration Pen Tool to create an outline, then cut out my title. I was pleasantly surprised to see that the Sharpie ink soaked in and created the look of a wood burning pen outline.

All of the files to make this layout are in the Craft Room Library, however I’ve provided the layout file for you below.

ARC Crafts was one of the companies that caught our eye at Winter CHA. We were blown away by their BARC Wood Paper and were even more thrilled when we test cut some samples on the Inspiration and had fabulous results. This paper is amazing! We love that it is also printable, stamp-able, and can used with the Inspiration Pen Tool as well. One lucky fan will win their very own stack of ARC Crafts BARC Wood Paper! This goodie bag includes four sheets each of White Birch and Cherry (two with sticky-back and two paper-backed). Enter the giveaway now!

Wood paper. Can’t wait to try this. There are so many possibilities. I can do some fun stuff with my wood burning tool and this I bet. Thank you for sharing. I am always looking for new materials to cut with my Pazzles.

I am excited to try ARC wood paper and am on their website ready to place an order. But I have a question before I complete it: doesn’t it dull the Pazzles blade?

    Leslie-
I believe it does dull your blade just a bit like chipboard or any thick material would. I have a blade set aside that I use for heavier materials so I am not wearing down a good blade every time I cut something thick.
