How to Pause the Tutorials

Pause ButtonI’m always happy to hear from craftroom members who let me know how thrilled they are with the wonderful tutorials that we offer. It doesn’t matter if you’re a beginner or a mastered Creative Cutter user. There is always something new to learn! I’ve been watching a few of them myself and I’m always excited when I find something new that I didn’t know about before. I’ve gotten a lot of thank you emails letting us know what a great job we are doing and to keep up the good work. I tell everyone that Chris is a natural born teacher so she does an excellent job at putting those together. A few of you have asked the same question that Jill has so this was a great topic for the week.

I love the tutorials that you have available, but would like them even more if we had the ability to pause them.

When you go into view the tutorials you are given a few options. You can click on ipod/iphone or Low-Res as well as being able to click on the purple button that says Watch Now. Clicking on the ipod/iphone link gives you a much smaller screen to view the tutorials. It’s also a lot easier to see the buttons that allow you to pause and play the tutorial since this link was designed for ipod and iphone users watching them on a much smaller screen. The Low-Res option gives you a screen size that works great on smaller laptop screens and Netbooks. It too makes seeing the pause feature a lot easier. By clicking on the Watch Now button it makes things much bigger. This is primarily the link that most people will choose to click on, because it makes viewing the tutorials so much easier. The pause button in the tutorials can be an easy one to miss because it’s so small and at the bottom of the screen. Try moving the slider bar on the right side of your computer screen down. Then you can see at the bottom of the window where you are watching the tutorial where you can click play/pause. I’ve included a picture here to show you what it looks like. You can also click on the bar that runs along the bottom of your screen and slide it to a different position to fast forward or rewind the tutorial. This is great for those of you who want to quickly move to a spot in the tutorial that you either missed, or want to go over again. Jill, thank you for your question this week. I know that there were others with the same question who were really struggling locating the pause feature as well.
