I couldn’t come up with a clever title for this week’s Tricky Tuesday tutorial. Yet, doing this one little process will make your life a lot easier AND…the little icons for your cutting files will be a lot prettier. If you ask me, that is VERY clever!
I love our little Pazzles Butterfly don’t you? Did you know you can change the little picture next to the cutting files on your computer screen? You can change the icon from a plain corner fold paper to one with our sweet butterfly.
As an added bonus, you will also make it possible to click on the file and it will automatically be opened in the Inspiration Studio Software. Just think, you won’t have to open the Inspiration program first before you open a file. Just double click with your mouse and the program will open with the cutting file you choose on the page.
Now your Pazzles cutting files will open just like your Word or Photoshop files do. If you want to know how to assign the Icon and associate the file with the Inspiration Studio Software be sure to watch the video below. Before you know it, you will have dozens of Pazzles butterflies populating your computer screen. 🙂
I would like us to have a way to create a thumbnail or icon of the actual image in the file.
I always had the files with the butterfly, but clicking on the file from the windows document menu made an unhappy grunting when opening it. Although, after following directions, it worked like a gem. Thanks for the tip!
To Regina~ What I do is, first save my work and then save a file of my work opened in Inspiration as a jpeg.
I too, wish that I could create an actual image of the file as a thumbnail since I have literally thousands of images and I can’t remember which one is which. Linda, I’m not sure exactly what your suggestion entails but if it helps with this, I’m sure game to give it a try.
Brilliant. Thank you.
How do I make the icon as a shortcut on my taskbar?
I would actually like to place the Pazzles Craft Room butterfly on my task bar.
To Regina & Paula~
First I use “save as” to save my design as a pazzles’ file. Next, you click on menu, then click export to save your design as a jpeg. You can only view the jpeg(s) on your desktop folders. I hope that helps.
if you are saving images from our library you can also right click on the picture of the file and select “save image as” and save a .jpg copy of your cutting file that way 🙂
To save icon of image: Find image in Image Library. Right click on the image itself. Left click on Save picture As. Make sure you are storing image in desired folder. Click on Save to save an icon (picture) of the image. If you have downloaded the image, the icon should appear next the the Pazzles icon of that image.
I dont know why I didnt do this sooner! Thanks for the tip!
