Halloween Eyeball Box

I got my eye on you! Are your Halloween treat boxes made yet? If not, this is a quick and easy treat box to make at the last minute. I only used two files to make it. The Round Box File and the Eyeball Card cutting file. I cut and assembled the round treat box as is. I enlarged the eye part of the eyeball card so the circle of the eyeball covered the top flap of the round box. Then I just glued the eye on the top of the box. Draw in the white reflection mark on the black circle part of the eyeball with a white gel pen.

Autumn Splendor Fall Layout

Good morning crafty friends! Today I am sharing a project I created for the Pazzles Design Team. This layout features pretty patterned paper from the DCWV Autumn Melody Stack as well as some beautiful files from the Pazzles Craft Room. I used several files from the Craft Room Library: Autumn Harvest Sunflower, Monarch Butterfly and Butterfly 001. I created the lattice frame in my Inspiration Studio Pro software.

Cut And Paste Sketches: Blessed ...

November brings out the thankful heart in many of us. We pause to reflect on our blessings and what we are thankful for in our lives. This double page layout will help you get the ball rolling for your month of gratitude. The second page of the layout is intended to be a list of everyday things you are thankful for. Use the strips for journaling or leave them as decorative elements and add more photos.

Halloween Characters Treat Boxes

I’m always looking for some sort of treat box or gift to give out as party favors, or small gifts to my neighbors or the teachers and staff at my kid’s school. These treat boxes fit the bill perfectly! They were made using the Soda Can box file for the base, and the faces from the Witch, Frankenstein, Dracula, Lil Blue Monster, Mummy and the scar for Frankenstein from the Franky and Friends cutting file. All of these files can be found in the Craft room for reference.

No Class: October 27 and ...

Just a reminder there is no class this week. I hope you will take some time to watch some past classes or videos. Spend an hour with your Inspiration and learn or create something.

Candy Corn Mini Album

This Candy Corn Mini Album has been on my mind ever since I did the Watermelon Mini Album.  I have always said the watermelon could easily become a  candy corn.  So, I took that album and made some adjustments to create this fun little album.  Whether you want to use this for Halloween photos or just some fun fall photos, this will be the perfect fit for you.

Join Pazzles At The Pinners ...

Join Pazzles at the Pinner's Conference in Sandy, UT this Friday and Saturday October 25th and 26th. This will be a fabulous, inspiring event full of DIY crafts, cooking, photography and lifestyle classes. There is also a large shopping area and the Pazzles crew will be there with a booth where you can purchase supplies, see the machine in action, and see some new, never before seen projects! We hope to see you there!

October Challenge Reminder

You have until October 31st this month to get your October challenge entries submitted. Here is a reminder of this month's topic: This month it seems that everyone is having fun creating decorations, goody bags, etc for Halloween. No matter how you celebrate the month, be sure and use your Pazzles to help make it easier. That being said, the October challenge is to do something ‘halloweenie’ or something you generally celebrate in the month of October. You can find full challenge details on the October Challenge Post. In the meantime here are few projects from some Pazzles Design Team Members to get you in a spooky mood!

Cut And Paste Sketches: Snowflake ...

Although this may send some of you into a stress induced panic, Christmas is on it's way! If you plan to send out handmade Christmas cards, now is the time to get started. I did the math and if I make five cards a week for the next eight weeks I will have enough cards to send out. I make this plan every year and end up ordering photo cards two days before Christmas and sending them out late. It is perfectly fine to send out photo cards, unless you are me, and everyone knows that making cards is your thing! Oh the pressure! Does anyone else feel this way?

Halloween Parade Cutting Collection

The Halloween Parade Cutting Collection takes you back to the days of homegrown pumpkins, real scarecrows and DIY witch and ghost costumes. It's a perfect mix of vintage and cute and it will add character and charm to your Halloween projects.

Skull Family Treat Box Set

You can never have enough treat bags. It’s the best way to make those delicious treats you give away even sweeter. Create this cute little skull family treat box set and make your guests, friends and family shriek with delight. Use the sayings on the box, or create your own to fit your spooky Halloween theme. Either way, your guests are going to say Bone’ Appetite!

Cover Up:October 20 and 21

We will be learning how to cover pre-cut letters, whether they are wood, chipboard or some other material and then decorate them. These are a great gift giving idea. Join us starting Sunday at 7pm, Monday at 5am and 1pm (all times are USA Central, Chicago Time). If you are not sure what time that is in your location, go to the World Time Conversion site to see what time you will join us. To join, simply go to Klo’s Classroom, then Enter Classroom and sign in as a guest.

Melissa Frances and Pazzles Team ...

You've most likely seen these amazing Melissa Frances chipboard houses around the crafting world, and we are thrilled to announce that Melissa Frances and Pazzles have teamed up to make die lines for all of the Melissa Frances chipboard products. Use your Pazzles Creative Cutter for the tedious job of cutting out your patterned papers and save your time for the fun parts such as embellishing. These houses make a show stopping display for holidays or any day.

Pen Tool Fall Acorn Card

Fall is such a beautiful season, with leaves changing color and the crisp, cool air. I created my card with thoughts of my years growing up in the northern part of the country. When deciding how to make my card, I knew I wanted to work with the new Pazzles Pen Tool. I visited Klo’s recent classroom video on how to work with the new pen tool and watched one of the archived sessions. It got me off the ground and running in no time flat.

Cut And Paste Sketches: Autumn ...

Scrapbook layout and card sketches are a great starting point for well designed, quick projects. Many sites offer sketch ideas, but they still involve measuring and hand cutting. I like to let my Inspiration do as much of the work as possible, so I often design my layouts and cards in the Inspiration Studio Software first and then cut them out.

Halloween Costume Ribbons

Halloween Costume Party Ribbons

I've mentioned before that I host a Halloween party for all of my extended family every year and costumes are requested but not required. I love to see what people come up with when choosing their attire for the night, and there have been many clever ideas over the years. At the end of the night I select a few people for the costume awards and I like to have a big ribbon to pin on their chest. This year I made my awards bigger and better with layers and layers of Doodlebug Designs papers and the Patriotic Ribbon file.

Halloween Toxic Treat Boxes

I'm a big fan of Halloween and while the cute versions of Halloween characters are fun to craft with, it's the eerie, spooky side of things that I love! Luckily my kids are finally old enough for the fake spiders and skeletons I've been dreaming of decorating with. I like my decorations spooky and creepy without going overboard or giving anyone a month of nightmares. These Halloween Toxic Treat Boxes will make the recipient think twice before gobbling up the goodies and are a quick enough project to make in multiples. Use the Halloween silhouette borders on scrapbook pages as well.

No Class: October 13 and ...

Just a reminder there is no class this week. I hope you will take some time to watch some past classes or videos. Spend an hour with your Inspiration and learn or create something.

Our videos section is a valuable resource for Craft Room Members. From software and project tutorials, to paper crafting techniques, you will find something new to make and do with your Inspiration every time you visit.

Trinket Book Box

I found this amazing cutting file on the Boxes and Bags CD. It is a great size for holding small gifts or photos. I enlarged the cutting file so that the size of the box ended up being 4” x 5 3/4”. I used the piercing feature in the software and the Piercing tool to pierce the stitching pattern for the word “Wish” on the side. This cutting file is a true treasure and one I'll be using many more times!

October Challenge

This month it seems that everyone is having fun creating decorations, goody bags, etc for Halloween.  No matter how you celebrate the month, be sure and use your Pazzles to help make it easier.   That being said, the October challenge is to do something 'halloweenie' or something you generally celebrate in the month of October. You will have until October 31 this month to get your project into the October Challenge Folder.  I am so excited to see what everyone does.  This is one of my favorite holidays and I love the fun decorations that I keep seeing people create. After you finish your project, be sure and add it to the Pazzles Albums October 2013 Challenge Folder. If you are not sure how to do that, there are instructions here. Remember, all you have to do is enter to have a chance to win one of the fabulous prizes.  Be sure and check out the Challenge Page to see what those prizes are.

Hanging Halloween Mobile

We wrapped up our Haunt Your House series last week and after four weeks of Halloween home décor it is hard to stop the creative wheels from turning. Pazzles Owner and Designer Holly put together one more project to share with you today, a hanging Halloween mobile. This mobile looks more time consuming than it is and it is easy to assemble. It makes a stunning statement hanging among your other Halloween decorations and is a great project for using up scraps of paper.
