I love Easter! It’s a combination of all the wonderful pastel colors in the stores, the sound of the birds chirping outside telling me summer will soon be here, and buying all the fun trinkets to fill my daughter’s Easter basket, that make this holiday so fun for me. There’s another favorite I have, and that’s coloring Easter eggs! I love having people over and trying out all the different assortment of egg coloring kits. The selections are endless. It’s a big difference from what was available when I was a kid.
I needed a creative way to send home the eggs everyone will be coloring this year, so I came up with this egg carton cover I could make that would be easy to assemble, and fun for the kids to take home. I think this is “eggsactly” what the Easter Bunny needs to carry while he hides the eggs. So “hop” to it and start saving your egg cartons. Not only is it a fun project to make, it’s also a great way to recycle too!

Too cute! Brilliant idea! Thinking I might send my kiddos plastic eggs to school in this instead of the gallon zip lock bag I usually send in every year.
