Spring Party Banner

Spring-Banner-ME-2

I love this cute spring banner. When I think of spring I think of pinks, purples, and yellows, and I think of flowers. I started this banner with the Be Mine Banner file from the Craft Room. I used only the banner card part and I deleted everything else. I elongated the banner card to the size I wanted, so my banner cards are 3.5″ x 5.5″.  I then created an inline it about a quarter inch smaller to make a white layer. I used one of the flowers from the file Flower Bunch.  That file has several to choose from, or you could use more than one, it’s really up to you. I chose to use only one. I sized it to fit my banner and duplicated the whole thing seven more times. Then I used the text box to write the word spring and added one letter to the center of each flower. I cut four purple banner cards and flowers, four pink banner cards and flowers, eight white layers, and eight flower centers. I also cut the letters in yellow. Now here is where it gets fun. You can make this a quick 15 minute project by just cutting everything out and gluing it all together and punching all the holes. (I just used a hole punch because it was easier.) Or, you could get fancy like I did. I cut everything out, embossed the white layer, inked the edges of everything, popped up the flower and the flower center with foam tape. I glued the letters on and added white dots on the flower petals and added some bling to the pen tool sentiments. I colored some flowers from the wedding department of Michaels to match the banner and then sprayed the whole thing with an alcohol shimmer spray.  It’s really up to you how fancy you get.
