Busy, busy, busy. We are coming into the time of the year when we are so busy. We don’t have time to do elaborate projects, but still want the look of elaborate projects. Thanksgiving is one of those times. We want everything perfect on our dinner tables right down to the last detail including our place cards. Today I have a quick easy idea for place cards. I found these silver 3″ x 2″ frames at a yard sale for about buck but I have seen similar ones at the Dollar Tree and Michaels for next to nothing. Silver wasn’t going to match my table, so out came the alcohol inks in awesome fall colors. Now they match perfectly. In the software I found the Bird Frame file for my Pen Tool. I removed the bird leaving just the scroll frame and sized it to fit the frames. I added my names with the Pen Tool in Edwardian script, cut them out, and put them in the frame. They are so cute. Then for a little extra something I used the MK Pumpkin file to add to the outside of the frame making them even more cute. The moral of the story: Just because it doesn’t take a long time to make, doesn’t mean it looks any less awesome. Sometimes the projects that get you on the road faster are the best ones.

Love these personalised place names Marjorie, they will look great at your Thanksgiving celebration.
This is lovely and will look beautiful on a dinner table (actually, it’s beautiful anywhere!). I love what you did with the alcohol inks, too. The frame looks like fall.
Lovely nameplates Auntie Marg. Your guest will feel special. It is fun using the pen tool.
