Elegant Cards Week: Lattice Overlay Mother's Day Card

For this elegant Mother’s Day card I used the Fun Folds 2 Shutter Card from the Fun Folds 2 Cutting Collection. I thought this particular card, with its wavy edges and raised oval center, was perfect for a Mother’s Day card. Instead of using the solid overlays that are included in the file, I chose turn them into a lattice pattern using the tools in the Inspiration Studio Pro 2014 software. Then I added a small pearl at each intersection of the lattice pattern. Once the base of my card was complete I used the print and cut feature for the oval title. I added the Frame file to the printed oval center just to make it a little more elegant and special. The flowers at the base of the frame are the rose from the Twirled Flower file and the flower part of the Lily of the Valley file. I added green pearls to the centers of the Lily of the Valley flowers and to the oval title. I arranged the leaves from the White Spring Wildflowers around the frame to add greenery and interest. Last but not least I added the top layer of the Stained Glass Purple Passion Butterfly to the side panel and a little pink bow to the top of the frame. Who better to celebrate with a special card, than your mother!
