Scallop Flower Purse

Paper Purse

Isn’t this a cute little purse?  I found this purse in the Pazzles Craft Room and thought it would be perfect for a 15-minute project.

This little purse would be nice for party favors, money, or a gift card.  As usual though, I’ll be filling mine with wrapped candy, especially the Cherry and Apple Jolly Ranchers I love to eat! There’s only two pieces for the purse.  The sides of the purse are folded inward.  All you have to do is fold along the scored lines and you’ll be finished with assembly in a jiffy.

I found the flowers in the InVue Image Gallery.  I used an American Crafts Gold Metallic marker to make the dots on the flowers and around the front and top of the purse. I ran out of double-sided tape, so to make the flowers look a little 3D I cut some small circles out of a piece of foam sheet and glued them to the back of the flower then glued both to the front of the purse flap.  Foam sheets are much cheaper than foam tape, especially when you use it a lot.  You can cut out a bunch of foam circles from one sheet of foam.

Gina, I love the patterns, color combination and the gold accents and I’m with you on the cherry candy! This could be given in so many fun ways. I’m a sucker for little containers and art supplies and I think I’ll try some with paper and mini pencils or pens inside for a fun, quiet bag for some otherwise wiggly wee churchgoers.
