Time for School Apple Card

Shaped cards are the first thing that attracted me to purchasing my first cutting machine. I love making them, they are so easy and fun to create.

I have used the Teachers Pet Apple Card from the Teacher Pet Collection for my base card. I Print and Cut a topper using the Time For School title which I manipulated slightly to give the effect I wanted. I also resized the title to fit the front of my card. In addition I created a topper out of the pencil from the title and added my own outline to prepare for Print and Cut.

I decided I wanted some background interest to the front and inside of the base card. I cut one half of the apple out of gingham paper. I added some lines and a margin to the other half of the apple and the insert of the card to give the effect of lined paper. I added some extra images and some text before I Print and Cut the lined paper for the front and inside of my card. I love the versatility of my Pazzles where I can paper piece cutting files but also add Print and Cut elements to give extra interest and dimension to my projects.

Finally, I added a twirled paper rose from the Piano Box cutting file which I reduced in size for the front of my apple. I used some distress ink to give definition to the edges of the shaped card and apple elements.
