Beautiful Multimedia Canvas with Paint, HTV, and Paper Flowers
I have been smitten by heat transfer vinyl, it just gives me so much peace to cut beautiful designs, peel the unwanted pieces away and do a little magic with heat. I picked my favorite material, canvas to do this project! I used an 8″x10″ canvas but you could really make this in any size you like.
Paint Your Canvas However You Like
With a flat brush and some chalk paint, I did a few quick strokes to create a background. I used a calming yellow, a tinge of teal, and cream paint to join the two. You can use any colors and any technique you like to get a variety of effects. Then let it dry thoroughly.
Add Your HTV design
After this, I placed my you+me=awesome mason jar design on the canvas and pressed hot iron onto the design just for a few minutes. Tadaaaa! Peel the transfer sheet and your design is all perfect. I have included a step-by-step pdf. of instructions with photos in the download too!
Add Flowers for Some Vintage Romance
I used some flowers I had in my stash to decorate the mason jar and created a little vintage effect to bring out the texture, but you could make your own using the Rolled Flowers from the Pazzles Craft Room. You could also use Nida’s paper flower tutorial. I loved making this multimedia canvas and I hope you do too!
