Ah, Spring – one of my favourite seasons. Beautiful blooms, sunshine and not too hot days. I adore the way that in America, you celebrate the turn of every season and decorate your homes accordingly. We don’t do that here in Australia, but I love the idea of it and am considering doing it in our house.
My spring inspired project is a simple cherry blossom tree with a spring quote in Pazzles vinyl , “Live in Full Bloom”.
I simply resized the MK Fall Tree only using the base layer to fill a 12×12 page and then multiplied the cherry blossom flowers from the Cherry Blossom Branch file to cover this tree. I only cut out two layers of the flowers with the centre of the flower being replaced by a rhinestone for some sparkle. I resized some of the flowers to give 3 different sizes for interest and also curled my flowers up a bit by using an embossing tool on a felt mat.
This is now in my dining room on my buffet and even though it’s Autumn here at the moment, I’m enjoying looking at my spring project telling me to LIVE IN FULL BLOOM!
