Spring Flowers Coffee Tin Decor

I love all sorts of flowers, they just send me to a happy place.  I especially like to have a bunch of flowers sat on my kitchen window ledge while I am washing the dishes!

I drink a lots of coffee, but I decided to put some of my empty tins to good use with the So Mod Gingham digital papers.  It is fair to say that I love ALL the digital paper packs in the Pazzles Craft Room as there are so many ways you can use them in your paper crafting projects.

Firstly, I measured my coffee tin and created a rectangle using the exact measurements to create my wrap around the tin in my InVue software.  I then imported my yellow gingham paper and used the rectangle to create an image crop of the wrap.  I printed from within my software and then used a paper trimmer to cut along the straight edges.

I then cut a couple of flowers from the Summer Blossom digital paper packBlossom 4. I resized them and omitted the centre for the flower. I inked the edges and curled them to give some definition.  I cut a strip of yellow cardstock and curled it up using a quilling tool and adhered it to the centre of my flower.

I also cut some leaves from the Island Flower Bunch.  I deleted all the smaller inside pieces and just resized and cut the outline.  I arranged them behind my flower.

This home décor item has all sorts of other uses such as a pencil pot and storage for makeup brushes.  The combination of the gingham papers and flowers can dress up a multitude of home décor items.  If necessary you could apply an acrylic sealer to protect the gingham paper.

Have fun. x
