Installing the Inspiration Studio Pro 2010 Software

With two different versions of software available for your Inspiration there can be some confusion during the installation process. It can be a challenge as to which version of software you need to have installed on your computer, or how the installation process works in general.

I received the new Inspiration Studio Pro 2010 software. I’ve very excited to get started using the new features, but wanted to know if it’s necessary to have the Inspiration Studio software that originally came with my Inspiration installed before I install the 2010 version?

One thing that will happen when you install the Pro 2010 software is that it will override the original Inspiration Studio software; which is fine, because really once you have the updated version there’s not a lot of reason to keep the original version on your computer. The Pro 2010 software has all the same features as the original version, but with added features so you’re getting the same thing—only better! So for those of you who are thinking about purchasing the upgrade, or already have and just haven’t installed it yet. Go ahead and uninstall the Inspiration Studio software that originally came with your cutter and install the Pro 2010 software, or just simply place the Inspiration Studio Pro 2010 software in to your drive and begin the installation process. Again, it will override the original version of software if you have it installed, but with the upgrade it’s not necessary to keep both. It’s also not necessary to have the original Inspiration Studio software installed first in order to download the Pro 2010 version to your computer. It’s important to note that when you do install the new Pro 2010 software you will lose your images if you’re saving them in your Blue Book. Here’s a great video tutorial to show you how to back up those images before you install the latest version of software.  I’ve been asked this question on a consistent basis for the last several weeks. I hate to think that there are some of you out there who haven’t got a chance to enjoy the new software and all the features it has to offer, because you’re confused about the installation process. I hope this clarifies things for you!

Is this software (studio pro 2010) an upgrade that everyone that has the pazzles can download or do I have to pay extra money to get it?
If I have to pay, which are the extra features that it has, to make it worth to pay the difference?
    THANKS!

I would like to know why the new software was not either offered or mentioned when I ordered my Inspiration in January.

I just ordered a new Inspiration. I am wondering why I didn’t get the Inspiration Studio Pro 2010 with it?

I just got my new inspiration and am also surprised that the newest software didn’t come with it or that I can download the upgrade for a smaller fee.
