I’ve been really excited watching our Haunted Village come to life. I loved the spooky cemetery so much that I decided to create my own! Whether you need a card, overlay, or spooky invite to your next monster mash, this 15 Minute Project is for you!
I pulled the tree from our ‘Nature’ section and the bird and bat from our ‘Animals,’ and the pumpkin and headstones came from the Halloween and Memorial Day section under ‘Holidays’ in our Image Library. As for that big harvest moon, I used the Circle Tool in the Inspiration Studio software to create the perfect size moon to help balance out my card. For my final touch I used ‘Orange Peel’ Stickles on the tips of my silhouettes, it helped give my card an illuminating glow. Whatever direction you decide to take this project, I hope it’s spookishly delightful!
Stay tuned tomorrow: Chris will have a tutorial on how to make overlays like this one for any theme!
Supply List:
- WorldWin ColorMates Cardstock Black and Orange
- Ranger Industries Stickles in Orange Peel
- Glue
I really like these sections on how to combine different images to create unique designs.
Love This Card! I use the images from the library all the time and they always come out so well. Thanks for all the tips.
Very nice, Tatum!
I love the card. I would really appreciate it if you could share the altered file for us.
So far my 15 minutes project is going on 60 minutes.
Thanks for all your work!
Tatum’s overlay cut file will be released this Friday in the Craft Room as a bonus file. Also, stay tuned for a video tutorial from Chris later today. She will be demonstrating how to design your own overlays.
That will be great – is there anyway to get it earlier? It would be perfect for my sister’s birthday present.
Sara, I sneaked it in at the end of my blog today. 🙂
Christine – where is your blog?
Yes, it takes me awhile to put two and two together. I found it. Thanks! I’m excited to learn these techniques!
Share with us what you make on facebook Sara!
I just posted it on Facebook. Thank you Tatum and Christine!
