This project is one of five designed by featured designer Renee Smart!
The smells of the holidays are one of the best memories that come to us each year. These quick and easy trees can help you bring those fragrances into your home in a very nice way.
For each tree, cut one large triangle from solid cardstock and one coordinated smaller triangle from glittery cardstock. Attach the smaller triangle to the front of the larger triangle with glue stick or hot glue. Attach a paper tube trimmed to height to the back with hot glue. Add a few drops of your favorite essential oil(s) to the top back (farthest from the tree) edge of the paper tube every few days to add a nice subtle fragrance to the room.
Supplies:
12” x 12” cardstock weight solid papers – I used greens from the Die Cuts With a View Premium Stacks The Linen Closet Cardstock Stack 2
12” x 12” cardstock weight glittery papers – I used glittery from the Die Cuts With a View Premium Stacks The Linen Closet Cardstock Stack 2 12” x 12” snowflakes on greenish background printed paper – I used the snowflakes paper
Paper tubes cut into thirds to fit as rings behind trees
Low-temp hot glue sticks
Essential oils of your choice – I recommend peppermint, lemon, orange, lavender
