DIY Painted Canvas
This is a new technique for creating a painted canvas that skips the need for creating a template. This makes the supplies more affordable and is especially perfect for larger painted projects. I have used this same technique for a 4 foot long canvas with my favorite song lyrics on it, it now hangs as the centerpiece in my living room! Before I braved that large project I decided to try out the technique on something smaller in case I made any mistakes. It turns out that it is a pretty fool-proof system so even my test project, this canvas, turned out great!
Customize to Any Design
I have included the file for this “Let Me Sing” canvas but you can use the InVue software to make any design you want. I have included step-by-step PDF instructions (including pictures!) and they will work for any design and any size project!
Supplies:
12”x12” Canvas
Printer paper
Colored chalk
Fine tipped permanent marker
Cream paint (optional)
Black paint or ink
Paintbrush
Sandpaper (optional)
