Boxes & Bags

Easter Peeps Printable Treats

I love sending treats to my Grandkids and using my InVue software makes it so easy to send personalized treats. First I started with a basic rectangle as wide as my sandwich baggie. I knew it was going to be a topper so I doubled the size so I could fold it over. Then, using the Spring Borders Set 2 file I choose the border I liked and sized it to fit my project.

12 Page Mini Album and ...

Hello crafty friends, Melin here with you today sharing this mini album box set. I started by creating the box. It's very easy to do. You can watch the Making Boxes with Lids video in the Craft Room that shows you how easy it is to do. Once I came up with my box size, I created the pages inside. I made twenty four sides, 12 pages, double sided. The box base and page base are all from kraft cardstock.

Round Top Box Remake

I really love Tatum’s Rounded Top Lunch Box and I have a friend with a birthday coming who is always using those little cards for gift bags, so I thought I would make her some and use Tatum’s box to hold them. Then she can also set it out on a shelf. I didn’t do a lot of changing to the original file. I decided I didn’t want the handle. I did want it to say Cards somewhere on the box, so I got rid of the silhouette, then turned the oval sideways and used my Pazzles Pen Tool to add my word.

Monkey themed birthday party with toy monkey cutting files

Monkey Business Cutting Collection: WPC, ...

This Monkey Business Cutting Collection made me smile. They make me think of giggly, horsing around fun. Of course that lead me to thinking about birthday parties and kids running around like monkeys. So, why not a monkey themed birthday party? Though I chose to paper piece my little monkeys, I could have easily print and cut them if I was having a larger party. It’s also amazing to me how you can take a very plain gift bag and make it look fantastic! I used the stationary box for the goody bag base. Since I wrapped the monkey’s arms around the bag I added the white part of his arms to the backside so they would show on the front. I adjusted the size of the monkeys for the cupcake toppers and just added a toothpick to the back.

Chapstick Holders Cutting Collection

Tatum's Santa Chapstick Holder continues to be one of our most popular projects, so we decided it needed to be expanded to an entire Cutting Collection. The Chapstick Holders Cutting Collection pieces make quick DIY gifts and a fun way to share a little love with someone. The chapstick holder insert is a separate piece, so it can be left out and these can be used as gift card holders as well. I know you will find so many ways to use these and with eight different versions there is sure to be one that suits everyone.

Valentine Candy Tubes and Tube Holders

Sushi Cards and Take-Out Gift ...

I get a kick out of the local coffee shops here in downtown Boise. I love when they have the gift shops attached so you can walk around sipping and shopping. The gifts are generally simple, and I always enjoy reading the silly greeting cards you can purchase. It’s always something unique you can’t find anywhere else. Do you ever notice when you’re out and about, that something will catch your eye that’s completely out of character for you to make, or buy, but you love it anyway? I noticed some simple greeting cards with basic shapes and sayings and it made me think, I should try creating something outside of my comfort zone.

Birthday Banner in a Box gift packaging idea with chalkboard art lid. Box and Banner cutting files from Pazzles.

Birthday Banner in a Box

It's a new year and a new reason to celebrate! My family has lots of winter babies, so right after the rush of Christmas it's time to get my act together and make something special for the January celebrations. Of course anyone who knows someone with a January birthday knows they have the perception of being forgotten, so I like to make a big deal out of winter birthdays. This birthday banner in a box is a fun way to give a gift card or small gift. The banner is attached to the lid, so it comes out as you open the box. Using washi tape to adhere the banner inside, allows for the recipient to remove the banner and hang it up for the celebration.

New Years Eve Crackers

I was not aware of “crackers” until I became an adult. They are just as fun for me as for kids! There are two cracker files in the Pazzles Craft Room that you can use for any special occasion, Cracker Box and Cracker Box 2 . Today I have dressed them up for New Years! These are very easy to assemble. I also added Print & Cut images from the Happy New Year Title as a bonus decoration.

Gingerbread Girl Gift Bag

Hi, Joanna here, sharing my Gingerbread Christmas Gift Bags created using my Pazzles Inspiration. I just love making presents for my friends, and using files from the Pazzles Craft Room makes it so easy to make them unique. I created these 2 different sized bags using the Cereal Box found in the Pazzles Library. I have altered it slightly, using my software. Gift Bag 1, I made tall and Gift Bag 2, much shorter, but I love both sizes. I cut the bags out of good quality double sided patterned paper which gave a good weight to the bag. I added a folded flap to the tops of the bags in red cardstock, using one of the files included in the Lunch Sack Gift Bags Collection, and resized them to fit the two sizes of bags. I inked around the scallop edges which gave the look of snow on the roof of a gingerbread house!

DIY Ornaments: Santa Box

I am excited to present to you this Jolly Santa Ornament. He went together quite quickly using the Tall Pyramid Box file. I used two files from the Pazzles Craft Room Library to make the white hat trim: Large Circle Scallops and Scallop Tag. With the InVue software, I layered the oval in front of the circle. Then I used Subtract Weld for the final look (deleting any extra pieces). You can use the same scallop for the ball on the pointed top of the hat. Santa’s moustache came from the Six Moustaches file.

DIY Ornaments: Jolly Character Faces

Christmas is here! I am so excited! It is the craftiest time of the year! So what better way to get started than to make ornaments for the tree! I made these three jolly ornaments using the Round Box file as the base. I love them because in addition to being an ornament they are a gift box too! You can hide small treasures in them like cash, lip balm, small toys, a key to a car…hint hint, etc. Hang them on your tree and surprise a family member with the prize inside.

Gingerbread House Ornaments

DIY Christmas Ornaments: Gingerbread Houses

I’m excited to share with you my little gingerbread house ornaments today that you can re-create quite quickly and put your own twist on the decorations. These little houses can be used hanging on a Christmas tree, or from anywhere around the house. They can also be used on a mantel or table as cute decorations. I have even considered using them as place cards for Christmas Day with treats inside. The other thing you could do is pop a battery tea light candle inside for a nice glow. Using the Milk Carton House cutting file, I resized the entire file so I could fit two houses per 12" x 12" sheet of paper. This made them about 2" x 2" square at each face. The window, curtains and roof are all grouped together in this file, so resizing whilst these are included is essential to ensuring everything is the right size. Before I cut the files out, I ungrouped the files and then deleted one of the window sets to make room for the door file.

Thanksgiving Turkey Box

Turkey Box Remake

This fun turkey makes a great decoration for the mantel, or an end table, or use it as a Thanksgiving table decoration. If you want to use it for place cards, be sure and look to see what Design Team member, Melinda Beltran did with a few modifications. When I made the original turkey box a few years ago, I had no idea that it would remain one of my all time favorite projects that I had created. I have done a few modifications to the file to make it quicker and easier to assemble, without taking away from the fun personality of this character.

Printable Cherry Pie Slice

Printable Cherry Pie Slice

A delicious print and cut project that is 'easy as pie' to make! The back of the box opens so you can tuck small treats or treasures inside.

Fall Leaf Favor Boxes

Here in the UK, the leaves on the trees are changing color and it is a strong reminder that Autumn is here. I thought I would create some Thanksgiving Favor Boxes for my friends from a selection of cutting files found in the Pazzles Library. I used the Rounded Box Top file and decided to place some printed leaves on the front of the boxes. I used the Fall Leaves by Miss Kate Cuttables which includes 3 leaves in the set. I imported the Rounded Box Top onto my visual mat and placed one of the leaves in the center of the front panel. I then used my InVue software to print the leaf onto my cardstock. Once printed I placed my cardstock onto my Print and Cut mat and cut the box out. I repeated this two more times switching over the leaves.

Oven Cupcake Box

I saw an idea like this in a little bakery a few weeks ago and couldn’t resist the chance to “bake” my own. Oops, I meant make my own! It was scrumptiously cute, and the perfect way to showcase a cupcake. Add a cute note to the towel hanging from oven door that lets your friend know how much you care. For your next birthday bash let your loved one know how special they are, and let his oven cupcake box warm their heart.

Star Shaped Gift Box

Star Shaped Baby Gift Box

Joanna here again, with a Star Shaped Gift Box. For those of you familiar with my projects you will know that I love making Print and Cut projects as well as 3D items. There are several colleagues at work who are expecting babies and these days they seemed to be so well prepared before the birth, and let everyone know the sex of the baby. Selfishly, this helps enormously when making new born gifts. The Star Shaped Gift Box is a simple cutting file, but I love the depth of the box and how the base of the box is cut out of one piece of paper. I cut the base of my box using Kraft cardstock to give it more strength. This enabled me to indulge in my pretty pink papers for the top of the box.

Halloween-Bat-Tube-Favors

Halloween Bat Tube Favors

Joanna here today, with a Halloween themed blog post. It’s that time of the year when we can go Batty at Halloween. It is such fun to make all those treat favors for the kids…….you can just let your imagination run! I have used an existing file in the Craft Room Library, using the Pillow Box Bat. I decided to tweak the file so that I could make a snug wrap around my plastic food safe tubes. I have included the file for you, so all the hard work has been done. If you use larger or smaller tubes you may need to resize the wrap.
