Wall Art and a Kaisercraft ...

I love to play with paper. That should come as no surprise to those of you who have been visiting this blog for a while. I know you like to play with paper too, or you wouldn't be stopping by today. If it was socially appropriate I would probably cover my walls with squares of patterned paper so I could look at it all day. This cool Kaisercraft 3D Wall Art Kit is the next best thing. The base of these kits is made of wood rather than chipboard so once you have created a masterpiece, it will stand the test of time. The sturdy base makes it perfect to stand on an easel or hang on your wall.

Winter Paper Lanterns

An unfortunate side effect of having an amazing Craft Room stuffed with project tutorials and cutting files is that sometimes it is hard to think of something new to make for a project. I was playing around with making a dimensional bird cage that wasn't looking quite right when I suddenly realized it looked more like a lantern. I added some snow and holly and they finally looked just right. These winter paper lanterns are a happy accident that I would love to share with you.

Vinyl Candle Holders

Vinyl Decorated Candle Holders

I like to browse my local Hardware store and find great bargains to use with my Pazzles Inspiration Creative Cutter. The other day I found these glass hurricane lamps including the candles, on sale! There were only two left, at a great discounted price, so I snapped them up. The lamps were lovely but rather plain, and I thought I could make them look more special with a touch of vinyl using my Pazzles.

November Challenge

You still have time to get your submissions in for our November Challenge. As a reminder, the challenge is to create something you can use for the holidays. Today we have some fantastic Design Team projects to share with you.

Cut And Paste Sketches: Pocket ...

Today's sketch is a pocket gift card holder that doubles as a tag. Hang it on a gift bag, or directly on the Christmas tree as a Christmas morning surprise. Remove the snowflake from the cutting file, tie the tag around a bottle of wine, and it is a perfect hostess gift for a Thanksgiving invite. Have fun creating with this week's sketch and be sure and share your creations with us on Facebook or in the gallery albums!

Document December Cutting Collection

Every year about this time I start thinking about creating a holiday mini album. Several years ago Ali Edwards started a great tradition of the December Daily album which has become wildly popular in the scrapbooking world. If you have never heard of a December Daily album, the idea is that you create a mini album during the month of December documenting all of your holiday celebrations and the little details of every day in December. I love the idea, but inevitably I find myself still thinking about the project well into December, and then I feel like I am too far behind to start. With my procrastinating self in mind I decided to get started early, and came up with our latest collection.

Thanksgiving Headbands

Thanksgiving Kids Craft: Headbands

Every family has their own Thanksgiving traditions. It begins around the table with generations of love, delicious recipes and the memories of times past. A tradition we had growing is up is that all the children in the family sat at the kids table. I loved that it was set exactly like the grownup's table, except a miniature version just for us.

Baby Onesies with Fabric Appliques

As if you didn't need one more reason to love babies, these baby onesies will have you looking for the nearest baby to gift these to. They are so fun to make and will be much appreciated by the momma.

Sweet Pumpkins Shaped Card

I love this time of the year when the leaves on the trees change colors, and the pumpkins are filling the shelves in the supermarket. I found the Three Pumpkins cutting file in the Craft Room Library. Shaped cards are really easy to create out of many cutting files, and there is a great video tutorial in the Craft Room called Making Shaped Cards to help you learn the simple steps.

Cut And Paste Sketches: You ...

Highlighting everyday moments is just as important as scrapbooking holidays and birthdays. This single page layout sketch is meant to do just that. This layout can be adapted to almost any theme where the photo subject is close up and strutting his or her stuff. My daughter is a natural born actress and I have so many photos that will fit this page, it will be hard to choose.

Wine Bottle Wrapper

One of the many things that I enjoy about the Pazzles Inspiration is the amazing capability of the software. This wine gift wrap was actually formed by just joining six Skinny Tags together. Size the skinny tag to 9" height and then join six of them together with kiss cut lines between each one. This can be easily done by selecting the Move Point tool and using the Cut Path advanced function to separate out the left and right sides of the interior tags after you break group. The Craft Room video Construction Points is helpful to understand this process.

Pumpkin Centerpieces

Folded Pumpkins Thanksgiving Centerpiece

Fall is my absolute favorite time of the year. Creating these dimensional pumpkins for the fall season just seemed like the right thing. I chose colors that match my house so that I can have them out for everyone to enjoy.

Cut And Paste Sketches:Speech Bubble ...

Today's card sketch is perfect for cute critters and clever sentiments. Use the round spot to add a stamped or paper pieced character. The speech bubble is the perfect place to add a fun sentiment to finish off the card. Use your Pazzles Pen Tool, rubber stamp sentiments, stickers, or hand write your message. Share with me in the comments clever character and sentiment pairings you've seen such as a deer and the saying 'Oh deer-I missed your birthday', or a penguin and 'Have an ice day.'

Thanksgiving Table Collection: WPC, AI ...

Before you start making your holiday pies, use our recipe for an adorable paper pie. The Thanksgiving Table Cutting Collection features eight different place card ideas that will impress your Thanksgiving guests. Make a table full of turkey legs or a different place card for each guest. The Thanksgiving Table Collection also makes a great kids craft activity while dinner is being made. However you choose to use this sweet set, the miniature dimensionals may just upstage the turkey.

Thanksgiving Turkey Centerpiece

Show off your creative side and shake your tail feathers this Thanksgiving by creating this cute turkey centerpiece for your Thanksgiving feast. Use the feathers as place cards for your table and have your guests write down something they are thankful for. Collect the feathers and place them in the pocket on the turkey for a beautiful array of color, and a reminder of thankful blessings.

Halloween Eyeball Box

I got my eye on you! Are your Halloween treat boxes made yet? If not, this is a quick and easy treat box to make at the last minute. I only used two files to make it. The Round Box File and the Eyeball Card cutting file. I cut and assembled the round treat box as is. I enlarged the eye part of the eyeball card so the circle of the eyeball covered the top flap of the round box. Then I just glued the eye on the top of the box. Draw in the white reflection mark on the black circle part of the eyeball with a white gel pen.

Autumn Splendor Fall Layout

Good morning crafty friends! Today I am sharing a project I created for the Pazzles Design Team. This layout features pretty patterned paper from the DCWV Autumn Melody Stack as well as some beautiful files from the Pazzles Craft Room. I used several files from the Craft Room Library: Autumn Harvest Sunflower, Monarch Butterfly and Butterfly 001. I created the lattice frame in my Inspiration Studio Pro software.

Cut And Paste Sketches: Blessed ...

November brings out the thankful heart in many of us. We pause to reflect on our blessings and what we are thankful for in our lives. This double page layout will help you get the ball rolling for your month of gratitude. The second page of the layout is intended to be a list of everyday things you are thankful for. Use the strips for journaling or leave them as decorative elements and add more photos.

Halloween Characters Treat Boxes

I’m always looking for some sort of treat box or gift to give out as party favors, or small gifts to my neighbors or the teachers and staff at my kid’s school. These treat boxes fit the bill perfectly! They were made using the Soda Can box file for the base, and the faces from the Witch, Frankenstein, Dracula, Lil Blue Monster, Mummy and the scar for Frankenstein from the Franky and Friends cutting file. All of these files can be found in the Craft room for reference.

Candy Corn Mini Album

This Candy Corn Mini Album has been on my mind ever since I did the Watermelon Mini Album.  I have always said the watermelon could easily become a  candy corn.  So, I took that album and made some adjustments to create this fun little album.  Whether you want to use this for Halloween photos or just some fun fall photos, this will be the perfect fit for you.

Cut And Paste Sketches: Snowflake ...

Although this may send some of you into a stress induced panic, Christmas is on it's way! If you plan to send out handmade Christmas cards, now is the time to get started. I did the math and if I make five cards a week for the next eight weeks I will have enough cards to send out. I make this plan every year and end up ordering photo cards two days before Christmas and sending them out late. It is perfectly fine to send out photo cards, unless you are me, and everyone knows that making cards is your thing! Oh the pressure! Does anyone else feel this way?

Halloween Parade Cutting Collection

The Halloween Parade Cutting Collection takes you back to the days of homegrown pumpkins, real scarecrows and DIY witch and ghost costumes. It's a perfect mix of vintage and cute and it will add character and charm to your Halloween projects.
