Disappearing Tool Bars

Who doesn’t love a good magic show that has a great disappearing act? However when it comes to looking for things in the software, it is not as much fun searching for icons that disappear. If you ever find that you are on the search for your tool bars that disappear in the software there is a location where you will be able to find all your tool bars.

How can I find all the different tool bars in the software?

Go up to “View” drop down menu at the top of your screen and click on “Tool Bars”. This will bring up a list of all the tool bars in the software. If you put a check next to them the tool bar will appear on your screen. The toolbar that people most often have trouble re-finding is the right hand toolbar that includes the “Cut Project” button. From that toolbar list look for either “Basic Functions” or “Clip art” (depending on your version of software). You can also choose the “Default” option from that window to set your tool bars back to their original settings. Don’t be afraid to experiment and learn what each toolbar does, this is a great way to familiarize yourself with the different features available in the software.   When all else fails go and take a look at the video tutorials here in the Craft Room that will show you how to use the different icons and what their function is. I always say I tend to do things the hard way. Then after watching one of the amazing tutorials Christine does in her blog, I’m always excited to learn a new technique that I didn’t even know was there that would have made creating my projects so much easier!

When I experience the magic toolbar syndrome – I usually can just click on the “Default” button below the drop down menu and it resets all the usual toolbars. Love the ease! Have a great day.
