The one thing that we all have in common is our love of paper. There are a lot of different brands, types, textures and as a result each of these will impact the quality of your cuts. In your experience what papers seem to give you the best results for your crafting projects?

I love the orange peel cardstock…and criss cross cardstock…
Coordination, American Crafts, Anna Griffin, …etc!
I have to say though….lots of the other papers that I like is for the look…but for the cut and for test cuts….I have always gone to American Crafts.
In my experience, I find that it doesn’t matter what paper you use, as long as you know what settings to use when cutting on the pazzles. I have old papers that I have no idea which company it came from. Being frugal, I don’t want to just toss them but to use them. I’ve got it down pack that when I cut on my pazzles, there is barely a mark on my mat. This is not to say that I don’t make mistakes. I can usually feel the paper and know from a previous setting if I should set the pressure and blade up or down. Most times it’s the pressure that I have to adjust.
I have found that Stampin’ Up cardstock and papers cut really well for me
I like Close to my Heart because of the white core. It can be distressed easily. Tim Holz has a great paper pad that the core is lighter than the actual cardstock also. works really good.
The one paper I DO NOT USE is from Joanne’s Fabrics and Craft stores. I have never had any thing work out when cutting their paper. Of course the smoother the paper the better, I think, and if you want to go with a texture see if it has a slight sheen. Seems to work better for me.
I like DCWV, K & Co, Graphic 45 and any cardstock really so long as it’s pretty. I find that thicker paper/cardstock works best for my machine.
I love 7Gypsies collections, but it’s just too thin to cut on my machine, so I save it for cutting on my Fiskars cutter or scissors (or if I really want to use it on my machine, I scan it in the PC, then print onto thick white cardstock).
Oh, forgot to mention, I like Michael’s Recollections brand. My machine cuts this paper really well.
