Today's 15 minute project was inspired by a Pinterest picture of a beautiful Peacock with it's feathers in full display and a caption that read "Be Fabulous." Peacock feathers have been on my mind since CHA where we spotted them as one of the current trends in paper crafting.
Congratulations to meader420 for winning the February Challenge. I really love her choice of word and the great project she created around it. Recently, DecoArt contacted me and asked if I would like some product to use in our Pazzles Cruise classes. Naturally, I said, "Yes, please!" I looked at their catalog and chose some product. It was really hard! There was so much to choose from. Then I waited in anticipation for the samples to arrive. I had asked for glass stains and fabric paint among other items. I had a vision of what I hoped to do but was not sure if it would work. Soon the box arrived and after I unpacked my goodies, I was itching to get going on a project.

This fun Leprechaun-inspired treat box has space for treats inside the pot of gold and inside the cloud. Fill it with chocolate gold coins and marshmallows or real gold coins and white mints. It is sure to be a hit.
Just a reminder that there will be no online classes this week. Use this as an opportunity to check out some videos or review some past classes.
Every now and then, I get sick of looking at project examples, pretty samples, and 'Pinspiration'. Sounds impossible, right? But it happens sometimes, especially when your job is your hobby and you're continuously surrounded. Even if you don't work in the industry, you've probably suffered from crafter's block: the desire to create without the inspiration to do so. For me it's often compounded by the feeling that I can't create because I've seen everything and anything I want to make has already been done!
My desk was still covered in scraps from the Spring Mobile I made on Monday, so I decided to put them to good use for today's 15 minute project. The bright, fun colors of the Doodlebug Design Flower Box Collection makes any card extra fun.
The suitcases have been repacked, the return flights have been accomplished and the goodbyes have all been said. Sadly, the Pazzles Cruise is over and we are all safely home on dry ground. What a wonderful time we had!! Klo and I both agree that this group of ladies were a joy to get to know.
Around this time of year I always feel so tired of winter and so ready for spring. It is still cold here and there are no signs of spring yet. To combat the winter doldrums I decided to add a little spring inside my office with a colorful paper mobile. The Flower Box Collection by Doodlebug Design Inc. features the prettiest bright hues and springy images and makes this project stand out. I'll hang the mobile from my office ceiling and celebrate spring inside until the weather cooperates and spring comes to Idaho.
I wanted to create gifts for a group of my closest friends. I knew that they would love something they could wear, and wanted my creation to fit each of their unique personalities. With that in mind, I created paper bracelets.
There has been a lot of discussion recently on how to work with the journaling fonts aka one stroke fonts. We will be learning to work with them to achieve the look we want. Whether they have a printed look or are cursive, there are different things we can do to achieve the look and feel we want, so join us starting Sunday at 7pm, Monday at 5am and 1pm (all times are USA Central, Chicago Time). If you are not sure what time that is in your location, go to the World Time Conversion site to see what time you will join us. To join, simply go to Klo’s Classroom, then Enter Classroom and sign in as a guest
Happy Valentiene's Day from Pazz the elf and the entire crew at Pazzles. Pazz is dressed in his finest Valentine's Day gear and is sailing the seas on the Pazzles Cruise this week. He's been a busy little elf...
I never really thought of the distressed look and the elegant look going together, but when I hatched the idea for this card background I decided to give it a shot. I think it worked pretty well!
One of the hot trends we noticed this year at the CHA trade show is the idea of scrapbooking with pocket pages. Many companies introduced divided page protectors and small journaling cards that fit into the pockets. The idea is that you slip your 3x5 photos into the page protector, add a journaling card and an embellished title card and you have quickly completed a page.
Today's Cutting Collection began with a suggestion from some of our customers. The Split Letter Monogram—Roman Style Cutting Collection is our elegant answer to your requests. This classic collection features each letter of the alphabet and is perfectly suited to vinyl and paper projects. We've used it here to create a trendy home décor project and a simple wedding invitation and thank you note set.
It's time for the Pazzles Cruise, and as we sail away into the Caribbean, we'd like to thank our sponsors, who so generously donated to our goodie bags, door prizes, and to our class projects.
Yes it is that time of year again. A time when the aisles are filled with pink and red, teddy bears abound, and the conundrum of large boxes of sweets and tiny nighties can be found everywhere. All of this can only mean one thing, Valentine's Day is upon us! Of course we all know that Valentine's Day isn't JUST for couples, it is for anyone you love! So here is a beautiful heart box that would be perfect for anyone you want to show that you love this Valentine's Day. This box will make the perfect case for any gift you want to give!
Valentine’s Day is the most romantic time of the year. Perhaps you’ll be the lucky one who gets to share a kiss with your sweetie under an umbrella. No matter what plans you have for this special day, this Valentine glitter globe will make the perfect gift or home decor item for your special occasion. You can substitute this cute couple for a picture of you and your sweetie to customize your globe.
Just a reminder that it is the Pazzles Cruise this week so there will be no online classes this week. Use this as an opportunity to check out some videos or review some past classes.

I couldn't resist just one more Valentine's Day idea for today's 15 Minute Project. Although this Valentine is a bit more time-consuming than the Classroom Valentines, it is still well within 15 minutes. Choose just a few special children in your lives and make personalized Valentines using the paper piecing characters in our Fantasy > Fictional Characters album in the Craft Room Library. The cast of characters you will find there include princesses, fighters, adventurers, super heroes, wizards and many more.
