Natural materials are all the rage right now. Cork, canvas, and wooden accents and embellishments are popping up all over. One of the best things about the Inspiration electronic die cutter is that you can cut a lot of these thicker materials yourself!
I have some of the sweetest and helpful friends and wanted to thank them. I created a set of simple and easy cards. I started by taking a look in the Craft Room Library and came across this cute Little Bee cutting file. Inspired by the little bee and colors, I decided to add the Plumeria Flower file from the Library.

In preparation for my Israel trip I made a collector's album. Last week I showed you what I had created and it generated a lot of great comments. Thank you! :) This week I am going into the Inspiration Studio software to show you how I altered the tabbed divider file I found in the Craft Room Library.
Several weeks ago we released our Cut and Fold Medallions Collection and were so pleased with the positive feedback we received on it. We were thrilled to hear that so many people loved it. Many times we will find a file out there that we want to use and it is in a different vector file format. We will learn how to change some of them so we can use them. We will also learn about exporting in different formats, so we can share our designs with other friends that may not have an Inspiration. When I think about May 1st growing up, I have to smile. It was my Grandma's birthday and I always thought it was so great that everyone celebrated it by giving each other little baskets of flowers and treats. In my mind, this is why we made the baskets and gave them to others.

I’m often asked what additional items should be purchased or kept on hand at all times to use with the Inspiration. I would love to make a list that included all of our tools, several packs of vinyl (we have some amazing colors, you should check them out!) every color of rhinestone, and our Pastry Kit too. We all know it’s not necessary to have all those things, but wouldn’t it be nice!? By just keeping a few basics on hand you’ll never find yourself in a bind for supplies.
Sometimes you need something sturdier than cardstock to hold a heavy gift. I’ve never altered a can before, or any container for that matter that wasn’t designed for crafting, but discovered that a Pringles can is great for altering!
Last week in my Just Chatting blog, I talked about my upcoming trip to Israel. I mentioned that I was a great collector of memorabilia but that I rarely had time to scrap after I go home. This time I want to scrap-on-the-go using some sort of collector's album or junk journal. Many of you commented on the blog and I have some really great ideas! Thank you!
