It’s almost 2017 already! I know you are probably not even thinking about that yet with Christmas this weekend but when you are ready, this project will be here!
The project I made for New Year’s is a table decoration. The whole project is backed with .022 chipboard. The wine glass at the top is not welded to the rest of the star, but the other pieces are welded. I glued the top wine glass to the top of the star after I assembled it.
For the bigger welded piece I covered it with silver metallic cardstock. The smaller stars are cut from gold metallic cardstock and the wine on both glasses was embossed with a snowflake embossing folder using my Texture Boutique Embosser. The paper for the wine was cut from Core’dinations Safari pack (burgundy). There is a stand to attach to the back of the star piece so it can stand. I covered the stand with some of the silver metallic cardstock.
The Pazzles wine bottle on the star is paper pieced and is also backed with .022 cardstock. Just the body though. The rest is cardstock.
I created the standing wine bottles, which is in the file. Tip: When assembling, start from the bottom so that you can get the pieces lined correctly. There are two parts to the bottle. The front has a folding piece that folds over the top of the back piece. This helps the bottle stand alone.
Have fun! Happy New Year!
