Pi Day Layout Template

Pi Day Template

This month's template is in honor of Pi Day. I realize it is not the actual Pi sign, but I thought it would be fun to do a play on words and make a Pie Shaped Template. This template could be used for a game night, cooking, or any other fun and creative thing you would like. Use the pie pieces to put photos on or add creative journaling. The sky is the limit

Celtic Knot St. Patrick's Day Card

Blessed Friend Card

Hello Craft Room friends, Melinda here with you. Today I am sharing a pretty card I created with a St. Patrick's day theme. I decided to use the Celtic knot background card cut file set and created this rendition. The patterned paper I used was from the All Seasons recollections paper stack. I cut the card base out of some vanilla cream cardstock. I then cut the Celtic knot background layer and the flowers from the same cardstock. I inked the edges of the flower petals with some Canary pigment ink from the Whimsy Ink Pad set from Close To My Heart. I then used my McGill flower sculpting tool to give the petals some form. I layered four layers of flowers and staggered them on top of each other. This gave me more petals to work with. For the centers of the flowers I added some bling gems assortment.

Pattern: Classic Treat Bags

While cards are a nice gesture to express your sentiments, sometimes you want to give just a little bit more. Perhaps it is a specially made cookie or a few premier type chocolates. On those occasions a card is not quite the right presentation. What you need is a creative way to disguise that treat. A custom made treat bag is the perfect solution. This month's project pattern is a treat bag with six interchangeable flaps. The flap elements are in a classic style and will work for any occasion depending on the paper you choose. The treat bag will fit the small portion size zipper bags found at Walmart or any clear bag that is 3.5" wide.

Fish Bowl Valentines

I always loved Valentine's Day as a child. I could hardly wait to make my valentine box and then get "all that mail." The only problem I had was for those darn boys who would tease me because I had the 'Be Mine' or 'Be my Valentine' sayings, even if the boy was just a friend. So I realized we needed something that can be more neutral and help our kids be more comfortable in giving cards to everyone.

Valentine Cuties Print and Cut Collection

Valentine Cuties Print and Cut ...

I love to look through vintage valentines because of the clever, punny sentiments. Although the Valentine Cuties Collection does not have a vintage feel, I did try and incorporate some of the same clever puns into the tags. Some of the tags are pretty specific, like the cheese stick, but some can be used in a variety of ways, like the banana. I hope you'll have fun thinking up clever treats to tie these tags onto.

Valentine Tic Tac™ Game

Valentine's Day is a big deal for most kids in elementary school. Every year parents need to come up with a Valentine idea for each child and make enough for all of their classmates. That can be a daunting task especially if you have several children. I can't help with the quantity you need to make but I did create a card that will please all the kids no matter what grade they are in.

She created it by folding and cutting several pieces of paper and then gluing them together in cool patterns. I knew immediately these would be a hit with grownup kids too, so I created a few for you to cut out.

Making Christmas cards is one of my favorite parts of the season. I love to make layered cards with lots of sparkle, but cards like that are totally impractical for sending through the mail. The Cut Away Christmas Cards collection was designed with your far away friends in mind. All of these cards feature cool cuts that make these standout cards, but they are perfect for sticking in the mail because they are practically flat.
