My Valentine

One of life's small ironies has got to be that for many of us the most important valentine we will make every year also is for the hardest type of person to make a valentine for...a guy! Manly cards are a struggle for any occasion but add to that that Valentine's day is all about hearts, pinks, reds, and ribbon and you really have a difficult task on your hands!

Happy Accidents

I'm sure you all have had a few happy accidents while crafting: a smudge of glue you have to cover that ends up "making" the project, the "idea" that you have not working at all as planned but rather transforming in to something even better, or even just a completely unintended color scheme that spoke to you. Sometimes it feels like the project just wanted to make itself and I was merely present for the process.

Sweet Treat Bags

Did you know that Valentine's day is on it's way? Are you sitting in your house looking around at Christmas decorations that still need to be put in boxes? Are you unable to FIND your Christmas decorations underneath the mess left from the holiday chaos? Don't worry! You are on your own for boxing the Christmas decorations but with a few great ideas from the Craft Room you can knock out your Valentine to-do's.

Homemade Dust Cover

I know that this branches out a bit from our usual "paper based" fabulous finds but I really couldn't help myself when I saw this wonderful dust cover Miztaken created for her inspiration. You can check out this project in library by clicking here. Miztaken used a pattern that she got from the Pazzles Inspiration Yahoo group under Files. The yahoo groups are a great additional resource for those of you who haven't visited them yet. You can visit the Pazzles Inspiration Yahoo group by clicking here. Once you are a member and signed in to the group you can click here to go directly to the pattern. Miztaken thanks for sharing your wonderful work and make sure to check your email!

An Imposter

This card was created by Craft Room member toni who used a sleigh from our library and added this horse "imposter". I just couldn't resist this adorable card because the idea was clever, funny, and perfectly executed.

Homemade Gifts

When I see absolutely gorgeous creations like this box by craft room member, Pinkalicious, I'm in love instantly. This stunning treat or gift box would make any gift extra special. I love that Pinkalicious used a soft green and white. Perhaps not the first colors you would think of for Christmas but the results speak for themselves. Thank you Pinkalicious for sharing your "gift" with us and I hope that this project inspires the rest of you to make your own gifts!

Let It Snow!

Craft Room member "clw4514" confesses that this is her "1st original that I am actually willing to post a picture of. I've had my machine for a year and just now am I able to feel comfy cozy with my stuff." Well clw4515, I think your snowman bag is adorable. I love that this is a project easily accessible for beginners but even us "old hands" will love how cute he is.

It’s Thanksgiving…’Whoot, Whoot, Whoot’!

There’s nothing like the holiday spirit to put us in the gift giving mood to create beautiful projects for family and friends. Nothing is better than a project that not only did you enjoy creating, but enjoying giving away as well. These little Thanksgiving treat boxes that Angie made are the perfect addition to your beautiful table setting, and can hold a sweet little snack after a filling meal! I love the detail of the little owl, and like how it’s themed so perfectly for fall with the leaves on the top of the box. I hope you all have a wonderful, safe Thanksgiving. The staff here at Pazzles is so thankful for all of you sharing your ideas, creations and support for one another here in the Craftroom! Have a blessed Thanksgiving!

Little Presents

I think the Craft Room member Anamoreno put it best in one of her comments on this week's fabulous find "Cutting files are like little presents!" and they truly are. This series of cutting files shared by Craft Room member Astros_fan are absolutely adorable.

Inspiration Carry Bag Now Shipping!

Our long anticipated Inspiration Carry Bags are now shipping! I love this bag for so many reasons: the size, the pockets, the practicality, and especially the price!! I suppose my Inspiration could fit in to other bags but the thought of it slipping and sliding around really makes me nervous. This bag is tailored specifically for the Inspiration and fits it perfectly and cushions it with thick padding to keep it safe. I also really appreciate all the thought that obviously went in to this bag. You can tell this bag was made by people who own and use their Inspirations a lot, and who travel a lot too!

Rosettes

Today's fabulous find is by craftroom member "brensdesigns". She made these beautiful rosettes because she had some just like them but wanted to be able to resize them and customize them. I love these because I find myself doing the same thing all the time. Ever since I was introduced to the Pazzles cutting systems I was "ruined" (or perhaps the right word is fixed!). Now when I got to stores all I find myself thinking is "Oh, I can design that!" or "Oh I could make that with my Inspiration!".

Find the Golden Butterfly: A ...

We are trying something a little different here at the Craft Room and I hope that it is as much fun as I imagine it being. We are going to play a game, a scavenger hunt to be exact! Here is how the game works. The Game: Scattered throughout various locations on the Pazzles Craft Room are six butterflies, five clue butterflies and one golden butterfly. You might find one on a thread in the forum, or while watching a video, or in the albums, or really anywhere on the site! The five clue butterflies provide hints to where the golden butterfly is. The golden butterfly is hidden somewhere on the site and will be very hard to find.

A Crop of Compliments

As some of you may already know, I have a background in education. So I really love seeing teachers using the Inspiration for school. Especially elementary teachers for their bulletin boards! Craft Room member, kl71389, used her Inspiration to cut out everything on this board for her classroom.

New Faces

I have seen some new faces in the albums this week and that is soo exciting! Everyone has their own style and I love seeing what everyone out there is up to and what they are in to. It always inspires me to expand my own style just a little a little bit when I see the beautiful things other people are doing.

Eye Candy

Wow, I had a really hard time choosing a project this week. Not because I couldn't find anything "worthy" but because there were just so many wonderful projects. Everyone is gearing up for Halloween festivities and the treat bags, cards, and pages are making me think of candy for Halloween in a whole new way - eye candy!

Upcoming Classes

Just a reminder that there is NO CLASS for the next TWO Sundays. I will be in an airplane high above the Earth heading home and they seem to frown on me broadcasting from up there. However, there will be classes on Tuesday.

Pazzles Tote and Rhinestones!

At Pazzles we have been secretly toiling away for the better part of a year on these products that I am so proud (and a little relieved!) to announce to you! I am SO EXCITED about these new products and I hope it won't take long before you are just as excited as I am.

Fabulous Finds Prizes!

I know the albums have become one of the most frequented places on the Craft Room and it is really not hard to see why. There are so many talented people using their Inspirations to do amazing things, and nothing seems to inspire me to do projects more than looking at projects that others have done. I also must admit that receiving comments on my own projects is incredibly rewarding and I have a feeling you all feel the same way :)! Since the beginning of the Craft Room we have been sharing some of the most fabulous projects Craft Room members upload to the Albums. We have seen some truly amazing work!

Summer Santa

Ever been so inspired you simply have to create and have to NOW? I think it is the artist in all of us that pushes through every now and then. Musicians wake up in the middle of the night to write a song sometimes. Is it really any more odd that we sometimes get the undeniable urge to craft? I say no!

Upcoming Shows

Well, it is about time to start the last run of shows for the remainder of the year. Here is the schedule:

Print and Cut Boxes

I am just in awe of these beautiful boxes created by Craft room member, studio30creative. Studio30creative modestly admits she is a new Pazzles user but she already is doing some amazing things!

Paper Portraits

Yes, these really are portraits made completely out of paper! All designed by our very talented Pazzles Craft room user, Paperkutz. This is really some of the best vectorizing work I have ever seen, and what an example of how personalized and limitless your projects can be with the Pazzles Inspiration!

Quilling

When I saw user kl71389 's projects I was in love instantly. Where I got stuck though was picking just ONE of her projects for the Fabulous Find! I finally gave up and decided that there was no way I could pick one of these cards above the others.

Heading to San Marcos, Texas

Pazzles is on the road again. I'm looking so forward to seeing everyone at the show. I hope to see you on September 17-18, 2010. If you are one of the first 10 people to come up to the booth and say, "I LOVE MY PAZZLES", I will have a FREE gift for you. I would LOVE to see some of your projects that you have created with your Pazzles, so be sure and bring those along too.
