Father's Day Snack Pack Gift

Dad’s Day Snack Pack

It's a scientific fact that men like snacks. This is based on my own research and observations of the 10-12 men I spend the most time with, so it must be true on a larger scale.

Cut and Paste Sketches: Chevron ...

It's time for another Cut and Paste Sketch idea. I love using these when I need a quick card, and I hope you find them really useful too. This card is the perfect opportunity to use up some scraps. The tags can be cut from little pieces of leftover papers and I think the more random they are, the better it will turn out. Share your creations with us on Facebook, in the Pazzles Albums, or on Instagram with #pazzlescutandpaste. We'll be on the lookout to see your creations!

Live In The Moment Layered ...

Hello crafty friends, Melinda with you today sharing a quick and easy card you can make in no time at all! For my card I used the Fancy Floral Frame cut file I found in the Craft Room. When I saw it, I thought...what a gorgeous file. I made my card base a 5" x 6.5" size. So I sized the frame a quarter inch smaller. I wondered how it would cut and was not disappointed. It cut beautifully. I then turned to my In The Moment stamp set. I stamped the flourished frame stamp with my Versamark Ink Pad and heat embossed it with some gold embossing powder. I then used my Cashmere Ink Pad to stamp the sentiment. I cut the sentiment out and then used some foam tape under it to give it a little lift. I then added a bow and a Prima flower from my stash. The green mat and the colored mat under the frame are patterned papers from the DCWV Dear Jane Stack. The base was Colonial White Cardstock. I finished it off by putting some pearl accents around the stamping. The card doesn't have too much on it as I really wanted the frame to be the focal point of the card, as it is such a beautiful file. This card came together fast and beautifully!

Join the Pazzles Design Team this week as we share a few of our favorite things with you. I'm jumping in with the Design Team this week to share a few of my favorite things. My latest obsession is gold glitter paper. I can't get enough of it. My favorites based on color and cutting ability are the American Crafts Pow Glitter Paper (caramel) and the Heidi Swapp Marquee Love Paper Pad (Gold). Both are so pretty and cut so nicely.

Blooming Flowers Pocket Cards

It's time to wrap up Elegant Cards week! I hope you've enjoyed seeing the Pazzles Design Team's beautiful creations and you've been inspired to try something new yourself. Today I have two more elegant cards for you. These layered pocket cards have a folded flap and flowers blooming out of the top. The instructions walk you through each step, so even if you feel like you are not a card maker, don't be intimidated.

Elegant Cards Week: Lattice Overlay ...

For this elegant Mother’s Day card I used the Fun Folds 2 Shutter Card from the Fun Folds 2 Cutting Collection. I thought this particular card, with its wavy edges and raised oval center, was perfect for a Mother’s Day card. Instead of using the solid overlays that are included in the file, I chose turn them into a lattice pattern using the tools in the Inspiration Studio Pro 2014 software. Then I added a small pearl at each intersection of the lattice pattern.

Elegant Cards Week: Layered Banner ...

Before I had kids I was all about making cards. Scrapbooking didn't have much appeal to me. Really, how many scrapbook pages could I make of my husband drinking Mtn. Dew? When I had kids I was all about scrapbooking for many years, but lately I've fallen in love with card making again. It seems somehow less important to mess up a card, than to mess up a scrapbook page. If it's been ages since you made a card, give it a try this week. We've got lots of beautiful examples for you to be inspired by, or just outright copy.

Gatefold Birthday Card

Paris Shutter Card

I adore making cards–it’s my thing! I really love making something extra special for someone to help make their day memorable. This card was made for a very special young lady who just turned 9. She’s an old soul, and a delightful young lady. She has an interest in all things Paris, so deciding on the theme was easy. It’s no secret the Fun Folds II Collection is one of my absolute favourites and a ‘go to’ file. This particular file, the Shutter Card, along with the Vintage Frame is something I’ve used before. This time it’s different. It’s more heavily embellished and the paper is highly patterned.

Twisted Easel Card with Rolled Roses

Elegant Cards Week: Rose Cornered ...

Melin with you today, sharing my card today. I started by using the Twisted Easel Label card file. I cut the label with a kraft cardstock base. I then used printed paper from the Paper Studio paper pack. I then created the frame edges that I used and cut them in white cardstock and made them in two sizes. I used more of the patterned paper for mats. I also used some foam tape to give the mats some lift from the base. I then used some of the twirled flowers and cut them out in plain white cardstock, then inked them with my Cranberry and Ruby mini ink pads to give them some color.

Fruit Label Cards: Cutting Files by Pazzles

Farmer’s Market Fruit Cards

A few weeks ago I was shopping for Easter candy and came upon the cutest little container of chocolate carrots. They were packaged up like they were growing out of the container, but the cutest part was the label. The label made them look like fresh farmer's market carrots. I knew immediately I needed to create a project inspired by this cute idea. Obviously I couldn't stop thinking about that cute packaging, and so this week I created farmer's market label cards with a berry basket to package them in. This would be an adorable gift to give away or keep on your desk.

Shaped Pocket Cards and Tags Cutting Files

Shaped Pocket Cards and Tags

Pick a pocket and stuff it full of love, well wishes and maybe even a gift card or cash. These cards look fancy, but are very easy to make. Cut them out with three cuts and assemble them, or dress them up with embellishments. When your card is finished, they tuck inside a #10 envelope. I've included a file for the envelope liner which simply slips inside.

Spring Wreath Printables

Spring Wreath Print and Cut ...

In real life I stink at making wreaths. I've tried and failed a few times, so I was pleasantly surprised when my paper wreaths turned out. I created these wreaths in the InVue software and it turns out having an undo button is a handy thing. If there was an undo button in real life I'm sure I could master real wreath making too.

Our latest cutting collection Life In Bloom captures all of the beauty of early spring and makes it easy to share the bits and pieces of the season that bring you joy. Graduation Announcement

I can hardly believe my daughter will be graduating this year. Eighteen years just seemed to fly by. I got thinking about graduation announcements last week in preparation for her big debut into the world and began to put together a list of how many graduation announcements I would need to create. It added up quickly. I wanted to create a fun project, but not have it be so difficult or time consuming to make, especially if you have a large list of family and friends to invite like I do. I think this announcement card turned out perfectly. To create the tassel take several pieces of twine or ribbon about 8” long and fold them all in half. Secure around the top creating a loop. Feed another string through the loop. Poke a hole in the top of the hat and feed the string through the top of the hat. To secure it place, I used Scotch tape to make sure the strings would stay in place and hold the tassel.

Dream Big Embossed Vellum Card

Hello crafty friends, Melinda here with you today sharing this pretty and easy card with you today. The task was to use one of the many wonderful tools that Pazzles offers. So I decided to turn my attention to the Embossing Tool. I love that you can emboss different surfaces with your tool and machine. I decided to go with some vellum for a card. I started by using my software to layout the top of the card that would be embossed. I used the Cheery Chrysanthemum file from the Beautiful Blossoms Cutting Collection and created the vellum overlay.
