Ruffles and Pleats Cards

I love ruffles and pleats. They can soften a project that is too stark and add class to something that is too simple. Usually, I use fabric ruffled ribbons to add to my projects. But pretty as the ruffled and pleated fabric trims are, they can be a costly addition to my design. Recently I decided to try my hand at making my own ruffled and pleated ribbon out of paper.

Frosty Window Card

Have you ever walked by a home on a frosty evening and caught a glimpse through the window? The Christmas tree sparkles with lights; maybe there are candles on the sill and a wreath hanging in the window. This simple card evokes that same cozy feeling for me. Christmas is the season of giving and for those of us who craft, our thoughts often turn to making cards. What better way to express our personality and individuality than in a custom made Christmas card. The truth be known, for many of us, Christmas just wouldn't be Christmas without handmade cards.

Gratitude Pop Up Card

This Pumpkin Pop Up Card is beautiful on the front and is extra special on the inside. It is a special way of showing your gratitude. There is no mistaking the special attention you put into making this card!

Make You Own Stamps Autumn Thanks Card

Make Your Own Rubber Stamps

Fall is a beautiful time of year. The trees are turning colors, the air is crisp and special occasions abound. Now that the weather is cooler, you may find yourself in the mood to stay indoors and create. Thanksgiving and Christmas are not far away, providing you with ample reason to indulge yourself in your paper crafting passion. Making cards is a quick and simple way to feed your creative energy. You can make several cards in an afternoon and those who receive them always appreciate the time you took to make them. Why not make them truly unique by making your own rubber stamps?

Boo! Pop Up Card

Halloween is the perfect occasion for Pop Up Cards. After all, you almost expect spooky things to pop out and surprise you. Pop up cards are not hard to make and add an extra dimension of fun to the card. If you have a grandchild who lives far away, a pop up card will remind them of how much you love them. Of course, pop up cards can be used for any occasion and can turn a ho-hum card into a "Wow, would you look at that!" card.

Thanks Pumpkin Scroll Card

Pumpkin Scroll Card

The air is crisp, school has started and the leaves are turning colors. Yes, Autumn has really arrived. I may want summer to last but I have to admit, I do love the colors of fall. One of my favorite things to do in the fall is to visit the local pumpkin patch. Round orange pumpkins lie all over the ground with leafy vines trailing everywhere. Inevitably, I am inspired to make a card featuring a pumpkin. I often feel that no matter how many lessons you watch on the software, you do not truly understand how all the features work until you see them in action on a project.

Make Your Own Plastic Chipboard

I love the look of chipboard in my projects but I don't like that I always have to cut a layer of paper or cardstock to cover it. The chipboard may be brown or an ugly gray or even printed on (if I use a cereal box). So, I usually cut a second layer of cardstock and glue it on; or I paint it; or ink it; or in some other way try to disguise the chipboard. That is why I really love today's technique, I can make a nice stiff board that is already covered in the cardstock of my choice. Plus, I can recycle all of the plastic bags that seem to accumulate under my sink. It's the perfect combination: making something beautiful while repurposing something that would normally end up in the trash.

Drink Collar

August is here and for many of you that means the heat is really settling in. So this project is just a little reminder to HYDRATE yourself! Drink that water people! This cute and simple project is great for mass producing water bottles for any outdoor event including sports games, practices, weddings, and pool parties. Today's project is also special because we are giving it away to EVERYONE for FREE. Just a little gift from us to you to thank you for being part of the Pazzles family! We are also providing the SVG for this cutting file for those of you that are using MTC or SCAL with your Inspiration!

Making Basic Envelopes

Have you ever been in this spot? You have spent a lot of time making a beautiful card for someone special. It is all finished, you've spent some time admiring it and now it is time to slip it into an envelope and send it on its way. But what envelope? You don't really want to use a plain white envelope even if you have one that fits, do you? Why have a ordinary envelope for an extraordinary card?

Being Green

Being ‘Green’ can mean a lot of things. In my grandparents day you had a green thumb if you could grow plants well. The ‘reduce, reuse and recycle’ movement has been gaining momentum but really started in the 70’s about the same time as the advent of Earth Day. More recently it means to be aware of the impact your everyday life has on the environment. My grandma would probably say that reusing and recycling was just a way of life for her generation and they would have called it being thrifty. However, it seems that having a thrifty mindset is something that the rest of us have to work at. Today’s project is a great way to use some “found” objects that you might have thrown away in the past. You can also use up those small bits of vinyl you have after cutting a larger project. It makes a great gift for someone who loves to garden or just something fun for your own green thumb!

Heart Photo Frame Card

Every month I write an article for a web based magazine called Scrapbooking.com. I feature the Pazzles Inspiration and show a project that highlights one of the many amazing tools in the software. I always have the instructions to make the project included but only Craft Room members get the video tutorial and cutting files. The project was inspired by a wedding invitation I helped a friend create. The colors were from our very own Amanda's wedding; that's her and Josh in the photo! I loved it so much that I made a total of 5 cards for the video. This is one of those truly versatile cards that can work for almost any occasion.

‘Royally’ Beautiful!

This week I chose this card created by Pinkalicious of the royal wedding between Prince William and Kate. I thought this would be a wonderful way to honor such a special occasion for our friends in the UK. I will admit that I was very excited to watch the wedding. Our family line is actually related to Princess Diana of Wales so it made the royal wedding even more special to me.

Frog Prince Card

Sometimes we read a little more in to something than what is actually said. This card takes advantage of that by cleverly promising a prince. Hey, the card never said what KIND of prince, there can be frog princes too! This adorable card is great for any occasion and is sure to give the recipient a smile.

Fool For You Kinetic Card

We thought it would be a great idea to make April Fool's Cards as one of our projects. When we went looking around for inspiration though we were surprised at how little there is out there! What we could find was usually tasteless and/or unkind. Perhaps April Fool's day isn't exactly the kind of day most NICE people think to make a card, but we were determined that it could be done!

All Fools Day Card

I would show you the inside of this card but...there isn't one! That's the trick, the "money" is stuck inside a card that will not open. At least it is fake money!

How Does This Go Together??

Are you like me; long on ideas but short on memory? I love creating designs with my Inspiration Studio software even if I won’t use them right away. I am a bit obsessive about saving them for future use. My problem is that I don’t “exactly” remember sometimes how they were supposed to go together!! Now, I have managed to get really SMART! It is such a good idea that I don’t know why I didn’t think of it sooner. When I want to save an example of how the pieces should be assembled, I use the Convert To Image function.

You Rock Pop Rocks

Pocket holder perfectly sized for pop rock packets This rocking valentine is perfect for tweens and teenagers who would rather not be overly "cutesy".

Warm Thoughts Pocket Card

This Warm Thoughts card has a clever pocket for a packet of hot cocoa or apple cider mix. It’s the perfect antidote for the winter blahs.

Harvest Spread

The way food is presented has a huge effect on how we perceive it to taste. It may all be in our heads but we simply cannot help that a wonderful looking spread makes us believe it is also a wonderful tasting spread. Well we may not be able to help you with the cooking part, for that you are on your own! But we can help you with making your harvest feast look amazing!
