Elegant Cards Week: Lattice Overlay ...

For this elegant Mother’s Day card I used the Fun Folds 2 Shutter Card from the Fun Folds 2 Cutting Collection. I thought this particular card, with its wavy edges and raised oval center, was perfect for a Mother’s Day card. Instead of using the solid overlays that are included in the file, I chose turn them into a lattice pattern using the tools in the Inspiration Studio Pro 2014 software. Then I added a small pearl at each intersection of the lattice pattern.

Before I had kids I was all about making cards. Scrapbooking didn't have much appeal to me. Really, how many scrapbook pages could I make of my husband drinking Mtn. Dew? When I had kids I was all about scrapbooking for many years, but lately I've fallen in love with card making again.
