When you want to Print and Cut out a clipart that you have downloaded from the internet or imported from another source, you will need to create a cut line around it.  Generally, it is easiest to do a manual trace around the item, so you can cut out the 'noise' or pieces you do not want to use. Manual tracing is also wonderful to use when creating other images for general cutting of paper, fabric or other items. Print and Cut: Basic Manual Tracing This video will teach you the basics of manual tracing. This is very helpful for use with Print and Cut, as well as creating other images for general cutting of paper, fabric and other items.

I love sending treats to my Grandkids and using my InVue software makes it so easy to send personalized treats. First I started with a basic rectangle as wide as my sandwich baggie. I knew it was going to be a topper so I doubled the size so I could fold it over. Then, using the Spring Borders Set 2 file I choose the border I liked and sized it to fit my project.

Instant Film Shaker Cards

Today let’s use an old idea to make something new. Instant photos have become the rage as of late. I have chosen to use an “instant film" cutting file to make greeting cards. In the Pazzles’ Craft Room Library you will find a pre-designed scrapbook title named Snapshots. I used only the “instant film” of this title for my card. I increased the picture to 3 inches wide. That is a good size to fit on a 4.5 X 6 inch card. You will see that I made a plain picture as well as some with words at the bottom. The words add a tad bit more fun. We can make it even more festive by adding confetti to the “picture.” This means that the photo portion of the “instant film” needs a “window.”

Graduation Announcement

I can hardly believe my daughter will be graduating this year. Eighteen years just seemed to fly by. I got thinking about graduation announcements last week in preparation for her big debut into the world and began to put together a list of how many graduation announcements I would need to create. It added up quickly. I wanted to create a fun project, but not have it be so difficult or time consuming to make, especially if you have a large list of family and friends to invite like I do. I think this announcement card turned out perfectly. To create the tassel take several pieces of twine or ribbon about 8” long and fold them all in half. Secure around the top creating a loop. Feed another string through the loop. Poke a hole in the top of the hat and feed the string through the top of the hat. To secure it place, I used Scotch tape to make sure the strings would stay in place and hold the tassel.

Paper Spring Fairy Shoes

Spring Fairy Paper Shoes

"Give a girl the right shoes and she can conquer the world." -Marilyn Monroe A new pair of fancy shoes can indeed change your outlook on the day. While I can't slip these on my feet, they do make me happy. I created these spring fairy slippers to serve as both gift packaging and a pretty display item after the fact.
