Windows 7

There has been a lot of chatter from Creative Cutter users about the new Windows 7 operating system, and if it’s compatible with your Inspirations. The answer that everyone has been waiting for is yes! You will not have any problems walking through the installation of the Inspiration Studio software. I have heard from several users who are currently up and running and very excited about some of the new features in Windows 7.

A Touch of Glitter

The Pen Tool has to be my favorite Pazzles tool, hands down. Don't get me wrong, I love all the other tools too. Each one has helped me achieve the perfect touches to my projects at one point or another. I think the sheer mileage I have gotten out of the Pen tool tips it over as my favorite. My absolute favorite thing to do is to use a glue pen and glitter to create glitter text or accents.

Winter Day

This weekend it was very cold and it seemed to be an indoor play day. With two boys, staying indoors can be kind of problematic. They have a lot of energy to get out.

Huge Steps Forward in Beta

As we watch week four of beta draw to a close, we've made some huge steps forward. One of the most exciting additions this week is our new store, but there have been many exciting additions to the Craft Room this week!

Pumpkin Treat Holder

Another week is upon us, and I’m at it once again to find that special project. I don't know about you, but I’m having a hard time keeping up with all the fun projects being uploaded. With each project I’m continuing to find more and more inspiration. I can't believe all the entries!

Blades

I get several calls throughout the week about how to extend the life of the blade, or why aren’t my cuts clean anymore? Does this mean there’s something wrong with my machine? Well, unfortunately when the blade has seen the last of its days they’re just done. Nothing is going to bring them back; not increasing the pressure, or extending out the blade. They just reach a point where they are finished. What’s interesting about a blade that is going bad is that one moment the cuts will be fine, then the next cut there will be light feathering around the edges, and it very suddenly will get to a point that it won’t cut through the paper at all.

Score one for ME!

Have you ever had one of those light bulb moments where you ask yourself, “Why have I never tried that before”? I was creating a gift for my brother in law the other day and had one of those bright ideas pop into my head. OK, at least I thought it was a bright idea and worth sharing with you. I was designing a photo mat for 5 photos and my hubby wanted me to add some text below them. It amounted to a lot of words and numbers in 2 lines and I was trying to figure out how I would line all those words up, perfectly centered and spaced.

Little Discoveries

While I was creating the colors of the clothes for my wise men, I just couldn’t get my colors right. I was getting pretty frustrated, to say the least. Usually I’m fine in selecting a color that I already have in the pallet, but these images were different. I needed something that had the appearance of being more vintage than the traditional images I’ve made in the past. So I thought hey, I’ll try using my dropper from the color palette and use it on the photographs I was using as inspiration to match the colors perfectly. Wow, what a difference it made!

Closing in on the Finish ...

Rounding out week three of beta, we are slowly getting closer to the finish line! Lots of new and exciting things are being added every day and the Pazzles Craft Room is quickly becoming an addictive place to socialize with other crafters!

Nesting Boxes

Ever since design team member Amy Combstock Combs created her beautiful Christmas nesting boxes we've been itching to make some of our own. There are so many different fun things to do with this cutting file!

Thanksgiving and Winter Nugget Boxes

It's so exciting to see all of the new project uploads! I can see you all have been hard at work and from the looks of your projects; I am going to have my work cut out for me! Really is there ever a bad project? Even the creations where we think "Wow, what was I thinking?" our fellow crafters see it for its uniqueness.

Sticky Mats

My Pazzles mat and I used to have a somewhat love/hate relationship. I’d break out a brand new mat and then put a new piece of paper on it, cut my project, and then my mat just wouldn’t let go of the paper! Arg! Then a few sheets of paper later my mat would calm down a little and start behaving more like a gentlemen. It wouldn’t take long till I had almost forgotten the early wrongs of my mat and it was love from then on out.

Why did Tech Support ask ...

Ok, Rule #1.( At least for today.) There are no stupid questions! How do I know this? Because I make some of the BIGGEST and DUMBEST mistakes! A few weeks ago I was trying, at the last minute of course, to get a project done using my Inspiration.

Beta at its Best!

We are in our second week of beta here at the Pazzles Craft Room and what a great week it has been. Every day there is more activity on the site and we are so excited to be able to share this website with all of you! Here's what happened this week at the Pazzles Craft Room!

I Love Free Upgrades

Have you ever had a coffee shop upgrade your coffee size for free? I love getting free upgrades like that, who doesn’t? Pazzles Inspiration updates are like free upgrades for your software. The updates make the process of learning, and working with your machine a lot easier.

Overlays Made Easy!

This week I created an Overlay tutorial. Overlays make creating a great looking scrapbook page really quick and usually there is no cropping of photos involved. The three project based lessons have something for everyone, whether you are a beginner or more advanced. Learn how to center text, size squares and ovals, precisely center objects to each other and to the page, plus much, much more.

What’s Your Style?

Here at Pazzles, many of us have been putting in a lot of hours creating new images for the Craft Room Image Library. Each week we get together to share our creations and I have to say it is one of my favorite parts of the week. We have been doing this for several months now and over that time I've come to realize that each one of us has our own unique style when creating cutting files. These styles now seem so distinct to me that I could easily pick out one of their designs from a line up. Of course all artists - painters, photographers, musicians, scrapbookers - have their own style so why not us "vectorizers"?
