Challenge #5

Create a card with a pocket—any kind of pocket! If you are late to the challenge and missed the cutting file, feel free to create your own in any style.

Example Project Instructions

This card features a windowed pocket card with a pull-out tag. The cutting file has all the cardstock and decorative paper cut and score lines labeled. Cut and score card stock for the windowed pocket card and tag. Use two sheets of matching decorative paper to cut decorative pieces for the card and tag.

Adhere the pre-sized decorative paper rectangle to the inside of the pocket before gluing the pocket together. Fold the card stock windowed pocket card along the score lines and then adhere the tabs to the back panel.

Take the smaller card stock oval and apply a sentiment stamp. Center this oval within the oval window and then adhere it onto the inside pocket. This sentiment will be visible when the tag is removed.

Now glue the decorative paper cut pieces to the windowed pocket card and tag. Insert the tag inside the card to determine placement of the tag’s ovals and photo within the oval window, and then adhere. Decorate with the Twirled Roses from the Craft Room.

Submit your completed project to our Gallery Challenge Album by Sunday May 12th 2013 for a chance to win one of our prizes. Each project gets you an entry into the random prize drawing. See our National Scrapbook Day FAQ page for questions on uploading to the Gallery Challenge Album. Please submit only new projects created specifically for this challenge.
