15 Minute Projects

Quick and easy projects using images from the Craft Room Library

Party Cups

Custom Party Cups

Have you ever gone to the party store to buy paper goods for a party? I seem to want to take things up a notch especially for graduation and baby events. I have found myself wandering the aisles looking at all the great paper plates, napkins, cups and banners. I might even put them in my cart and then...I pull most of it back out again. It is so expensive! It also seems like I can never find the right colors of paper goods to match the graduation colors.

Graduation Cap Box

Graduation Cap Box

It’s that time of year when school is almost out for summer. That means that graduation is just right around the corner for our proud 2012 graduates. Whether it’s high school or college graduation I hope that this graduation cap box will add the perfect touch to your party decor and favors. Not only does it make a nice gift filled with sweet treats and money for the lucky grad, but it’s also a great way for guests to remember this special event as well.

Kisses from Paris

I have a long distance friend that is in to everything Paris. So when I wanted to send her something to cheer up her day, of course I thought of the Eiffel tower. Many hours later (and many..many sheets of paper while I figured out the design!!) this adorable little box was born.

Change It Up: Reinventing Projects

Spring time gives me a multitude of reasons for crafting: Easter, May Day, Mother's Day and, in my family, lots and lots of birthdays. Choosing just the right present for the recipient is important but I also like to make the packaging for the present as special as the treat inside of it. It is at times like these that I turn to my Inspiration cutter to make my crafting ideas come to life.

Vinyl Easter Egg Stickers

Do you remember making colored Easter eggs as a child? It seemed like magic when you dipped the white egg into the colored water. I especially loved mixing colors to see what I would get. As an adult I realized how much patience my mother had; egg coloring can be messy! I tried to follow her example with my own children and we decorated eggs well into their teen years. Now it is my grandchildren's turn to discover the magic.

Lollipop Covers with Verve™ Stamps

I have a hard time wrapping my head around the fact that Easter is almost here! Over here in the west side of the country we've been having chillier weather than normal . In fact we had a heavy snow fall just a few days ago! You can imagine that the weather is making it even harder to put my mind in spring mode! I think however, that this project did the trick for me. This project is so simple and I just love how it turned out.

So Lucky To Have You ...

Easy and clever treat bag. Fill with Lucky charms or other treats for the perfect "just because" or St. Patrick's day gift!

Shamrock Bag

If St. Patrick’s Day pinching really isn’t your thing perhaps making this little Shamrock bag filled with chocolate gold coins will leave a bit O’ luck for coworkers and friends. They may appreciate goodies more than a pinch!

Valentine with Subtract Weld

Wow! The actual DAY, Valentine's Day, really snuck up on me! I have been making valentine themed projects for Pazzles for a month now but totally missed the fact that I needed to get things done for my Grandkids for today. As I was working on redoing the video tutorial for Subtract Weld, it occurred to me that it was the perfect technique to use to create a quick and easy table setting for Valentine's day.

I’m Lovin’ You Fry Box

Mini fry box with yellow twizzler "fries" inside. This is a fun treat that any kid, big or small, will enjoy receiving!

Alligator Valentine's Day Card

Alligator Valentine

This alligator was easy to make and his heart scales add just the right amount of detail. Enjoy him as a simple card, or to hang inside a book as a bookmark for kids or teachers.

Heart Top Box

This super easy treat box has a heart shaped window and top. A great last minute box to make.

Ruffles and Pleats Cards

I love ruffles and pleats. They can soften a project that is too stark and add class to something that is too simple. Usually, I use fabric ruffled ribbons to add to my projects. But pretty as the ruffled and pleated fabric trims are, they can be a costly addition to my design. Recently I decided to try my hand at making my own ruffled and pleated ribbon out of paper.

Party Crackers

New year's eve comes so closely on the tails of Christmas that in the aftermath of Dec. 25th I have a hard time preparing anything much for it. This year however I (and now you too) am prepared! I know you are probably still doing last minute Christmas shopping, baking, wrapping, cleaning, traveling, planning.....So your mind is probably not looking towards 2012, but it is just around the corner! Don't fret though, this whole spread is amazingly simple to make and looks so cute! In fact I only used 4 sheets of black paper and 4 sheets of double sided patterned paper to do EVERYTHING!

Paper Bows

Wrapping a gift in beautiful paper and bows is half the fun of gift giving. Every year I pick just the right wrapping paper to fit my theme. Well, at least that is the theory. I like to have a different wrapping paper for each of the grandkids but now that there are 11 of them it is impossible. Now I have a different paper for each family, that way it is less confusing when it comes to passing the gifts out on Christmas Day.

Piece of Pie Box

I love baking goodies to give as gifts at the holidays. I usually make cookies, candies, jar mixes and jams as they are easy to wrap in fun little packages. Recently, my mom who is widowed, remarked that she loves homemade pie but cannot possibly eat an entire pie by herself. She was thrilled at our Thanksgiving dinner that she would be able to take a piece of pie home with her. I decided to make a box that could be used to gift a person with their own personal piece of pie. I also added a slide out tray lined with freezer paper.
