Baby Room Decor

String Lights Banner

I recently helped host a baby shower. I wanted something that helped showcase baby’s gifts and came up with this string lights banner. I wanted to use a thin font that had extra details and pieces that I wouldn’t typically use for paper crafting, yet the font worked like a charm using vinyl! I used some scraps of ribbon in an assortment of colors, and tied them along the string of lights. I think it turned out cute, and was a great way to “light” up the special day.

Banana Split Sundae

Even though summer is winding down and I can feel the weather getting a little cooler, nothing stops my sweet tooth when it comes to ice cream. I created this project for a birthday bash, or just to let someone special know that they’re the sprinkles on your sundae. This project would also make a great cake topper or invitation to your last summer ice cream social. So before summer melts away, get in on the scoop here in the Craft Room and satisfy your craving for a sweet project!

Butterfly Cupcake Decoration with the Pazzles Pastry Tool

Easy Cupcake Decoration with the ...

I love baking with my daughter and enjoy all those special memories we create while doing so. We decided to make some cupcakes and make some quick and easy cut outs for our cupcakes using Wilton Sugar Sheets and the Pazzles Pastry Starter Kit. For these cupcakes we used the Large Flower, Flower Bunch and the Butterfly cutting files which can all be found in the Pazzles Craft Room Library.

Triple Tag Easel Card

Easel Menu Table Centerpiece

When the Easel Card Collection was released I was super excited. These are some of my most favourite cards to create and the Triple Tag Easel Card file was perfect to use as a centrepiece for an upcoming friend's 60th Birthday High Tea. Once you’ve chosen your colour theme and cut out all your pieces this comes together really easily. I used the fit text to path function for the banner text and printed a partial Miss Kate Cuttables Pretty Swirls at each end of the banner. Some foam squares and a couple of Kaisercraft blooms with glittered (KindyGlitz) petals finished off the front section.

Luau Beach Party Favor

Luau Beach Party Favor

Summer reminds me of luau parties, and fun beach days. With this in mind I created a purse party favor using the Purse Box Square and Island Flower Bunch files, which can all be found in the Craft Room Library. To add dimension on the flowers I used Ranger Stickles and dimensional foam dots and for the leaves I simply chalked them. I also added a plumeria flower that I purchased on Ebay.

Back To School Photo Props

It's that time of year again. Time to put on the new fall school clothes even though it is still 95 degrees outside, do your child's hair extra special and take that traditional first day of school photo. When I was a child, we held up the appropriate number of fingers to designate our new grade, but thanks to Pinterest, first day of school pictures have become much fancier. After the first day of school outfits have been planned, the next step is to cut out these first day of school photo props. We've got grades K-12 covered.

“Straw” Berries Party Straws

I can't resist a fun straw in my drink. I remember when the plastic crazy straws came out when I was a kid. I hosted a get together a few summers ago and themed our adult beverages around these vintage straws. They were a hit! Create your own party in a glass. Mix up a pitcher of sweet tea, or your favorite berry delicious drink and create these "straw" berries to sip from. They’ll be a perfect “pick” for a summer shandy.

Ice Princess Party Favors

Snowflake Winter Party Favors

“Let it Go, Let It Go……” is sung in our household, and my car repeatedly! This movie is so loved in our household, that my almost 5 year old son has chosen it as his theme for his upcoming birthday party at the end of August. The Pazzles Party CD 51 holds many amazing files that can be tweaked as required for your chosen theme. I adore making party décor and favours, and these files give you an excellent base to work from. Most of the pieces of my party are taken from other themed parties on the Party CD and remade with my winter party theme. Circus Pinwheels to Ice Pinwheels These make the quickest little additions to a sweet table or to give as party favours. I plan to make more of these in coordinating colours, and adding a touch of glitter to the corners adds more festivity! They don’t have to spin either, fastening them to a paddle pop stick and used as a static display is quite okay.

Superhero Tea Pals

It’s a bird, no it’s a plane, no it’s a super hero tea pal! When a super hero helps you brew your tea in the morning, you will be ready to face any obstacle your day throws at you! They may look like they are maxing and relaxing in a nice hot steamy tub, but we all know what lurks below... I made these tea pals by altering the super hero files found in the Pazzles image library under Fantasy > Fictional Characters. I used the replace by segment tool to cut their arms off, repositioned them, and welded them back together so they could hang on the side of the cup and brew your tea for you. I included the altered files and the body file so you can make your own. I also think it would be fun to cut pictures of your kid’s or family’s faces and glue them to the face part of the file. Another idea would be to use the princess files (found in the same directory as the superhero files) and have a little girls tea party. There are also several other themed characters that will work perfectly with this project.

Baby Bootie Shower Favors

I used the cute little baby bootie file from the CD51: Party CD to create the adorable bootie favors. I used some Die Cuts With A View papers from the baby girl stack. I simply added some lace and pearls around the bottom and a pretty flower with gem for the "snap". I filled it with some candy kisses and they were ready to go! For my hot air balloon favor, I used the free Berry Basket file for the base. I hot glued two bamboo skewers and then inserted them into the balloon. The balloon is from the On the Move Hot Air Balloon file.

Baby Week: Baby Shower Banner ...

I hope you are enjoying celebrating babies here at Pazzles. The cuteness is limitless! I have used the Dimensional Bow from the Craft Room to create a darling pink banner to welcome a baby girl. At first I was going to use only one layer for the bows. I was worried that the bows would come out too big, but I am glad I used other layers. So Cute! You can always change the size, but I went with the imported size. This file is so easy to use. You will want to make extra bows to spread throughout the room! In the center of the banner, I have used the Onesie file from the Craft Room to announce the baby’s sex. It is strung together with a coordinating, but bright, hemp string.

Baby Shower Wreath

Baby Week: Baby Shower Decoration

This wreath will welcome your guests as they arrive to your baby shower. It will set the tone and get your guests excited before the baby shower even starts! Once all your guests arrive you can move your wreath inside and use it for an indoor baby shower decoration too! It can easily be changed from girl to boy with just a little tweaking. Instructions: I cut about 130 3.25 inch circles. Yes, I know this sounds like a lot but it goes super-fast using your Pazzles Creative Cutter! I used a 90 year old music book for mine but you can buy a cheap book at a thrift store, use printed scrapbooking paper, print your own on your printer or just buy colored copy paper. I think it would be precious to use an old nursery rhyme book. *NOTE: The paper you use for the circles needs to be the thickness of copy paper or the pages of a book. You don’t want to use cardstock for this project. The paper needs to be flexible as you are gluing them very close together and cardstock creases easily, giving your wreath a more angular look. Instead, we are going for a softer feel since it is for a baby shower.

Baby Shower Rattle Invitation

Baby Week: Baby Rattle Shower ...

It’s Baby Week and who doesn’t love babies? So for you I have created a shower invitation using the Baby Rattle file. The first thing I did was to resize it to fit in a standard invitation envelope. I then added two circles, one for the front and one for the back. The front one was for information (i.e. who, when, rsvp) which I did with the Pazzles Pen Tool. I used Edwardian script font and then hand wrote the information, but you could do the whole thing with the Pen Tool. The back circle was for decorative paper. I added some inking and a bow and it turned out great. It's very simple and very fast. You could do a lot of these in no time at all and you can get six out of one piece of 12" x 12" cardstock. Tip: make sure you make an extra one for the mom to keep in the baby book.

Baby Week: Onesie Shower Invitations

Hello fellow crafters, Joanna here today highlighting some Baby Shower printables using Print and Cut with your Pazzles. I thought I would share with you how versatile using the Print and Cut technique with your Pazzles can be to create even more creativity. You could of course paper piece some of the elements such as the onesie with your favorite papers. However, when sending out invitations in bulk it is easier and quicker to Print and Cut them. There is an excellent video tutorial How To Use Cutting Files for Print and Cut which will give you step by step instructions.

World Flags

World Celebration Flags

There have been several times this year that I wished I had a set of paper flags representing many countries. First there was the Olympics, then the World Cup, and now the Tour De France. In between all of these world events, I was in charge of a Cub Scout Blue & Gold Banquet with a world traveler theme. The point is, I decided it was time to have a little world celebration and make up some of these country flags. Today's project includes 18 different world flags, and a bottle hanger medallion. Customize these for whatever team you are cheering for and celebrate! In order to make these "cutting friendly" I've left off some small details on a few of the flags. Australia, USA and Brazil all have small stars on them which will need to be drawn with the Pen Tool.

Ice Cream Birthday Party

Cool ice cream cones filled with sweet surprises such as candy, gift cards, or nail polish plus a cute candle birthday banner

Tropical Luau Lei

A friend and I have planned a trip to celebrate her 30th birthday. We thought Hawaii would be the perfect getaway. With that in mind, I decided making paper Lei’s would be a fun way to share my “Inspiration” and travel in style. If sandy beaches aren’t in your wake this summer season, I hope you find time to make your own backyard Luau BBQ and create paper Lei’s for each of your guests. Mahalo!

Treasure Chest Gems Cutting Collection: ...

I will be hosting a girls brunch, and tea in the next few weeks. My guest of honor will be getting married and I wanted to find a way to let her know how much of a treasure her friendship is to me. I created the Treasure Chest Gems Cutting Collection with 12 different gems and a treasure chest so that I could make my own treasure. I thought it would be perfect to bling out some doughnuts with some pirate's booty and turn them into rings. I can send my guests away with a treasure chest of doughnut rings and a little note that says, "Ahoy, me hearty!" I hope you find a fun way to use this collection, and use it in a way that inspires all your "mateys".

Patriotic Party Supplies

A few simple DIY party decorations you can easily make multiples of. The rosettes and paper firework picks make great decorations for a table or porch. Utensil holders candy holders, and paper cones for popcorn or sparklers!

DIY Mustache Wrapping Paper

Designing your own digital papers using your software is incredible easy! Make a great wrapping paper with matching card with mustaches or any designs you want!

Backyard Bugz Cutting Collection: WPC, ...

Gather together a few junior bug explorers and celebrate summer in your backyard. The fascination of watching an ant hill busy at work, or collecting ladybugs in a jar, are childhood memories we all cherish. Our latest collection, Backyard Bugz Cutting Collection includes a several buggy characters, a bug jar and net, and a few titles for documenting your summer bug catching. For today's project I cut the net out at the largest size I could fit on a 12" x 12" piece of paper. I cut a separate layer in chipboard for a bit of stability.
