Every Spring and Early Summer as the cold weather turns and the grass starts to get green, the flowers start blooming and the leaves cover the trees in verdant colors, I get excited and ready to start adding a touch to our own yard for us to enjoy for the next few months. The past two years we have not done a lot in our new home, so this year we are ready to really get started. As I was thinking of the things I needed to do to make sure our yard is vibrant with color and flowers, I recalled the special recipe that my oldest sister used and shared with us in the past. We have used this recipe in our past homes and have always left each place with a plush lawn and beautiful landscaping with flowers and bushes that show their colors to the fullest. So I know it is time to pull out the 'recipe.' As I was doing that, I realized I could not find it. It then occurred to me, it should be with my recipe swap book that I did years ago with a group of online friends, that I still use. That meant creating a page.
One of the funnest things you can make with your Pazzles Inspiration is shaped cards. In fact, they would be pretty hard to make without your Inspiration. Today I've created a set of spring shaped cards that you can make, and have on hand for your next event. Based on past experience I can tell you that giving a shaped card you've made to a non paper crafter will totally blow their mind!

Join the Pazzles Design Team this week as we share a few of our favorite things with you. I'm jumping in with the Design Team this week to share a few of my favorite things. My latest obsession is gold glitter paper. I can't get enough of it. My favorites based on color and cutting ability are the American Crafts Pow Glitter Paper (caramel) and the Heidi Swapp Marquee Love Paper Pad (Gold). Both are so pretty and cut so nicely.
For many years I have been saying I wanted to create a nice backyard garden area that was fun and functional. As I have looked at magazines, online and just chatted with people, I realized I had the ability to not only have a nice garden, but with my Pazzles, some garage sale finds, spray paint and some vinyl, I was able to get a good start on my creation.
Each year for May Day (May 1), my kids and I make and leave baskets on neighbors and friend's doors. Our basket takes a different form every year. This year I have made a tussie mussie to stand in as a May Day Basket. A tussie mussie is traditionally a very small bouquet that is usually worn on the breast. Sometimes it is larger and held in the hands. Wikipedia says “The term tussie-mussie comes from the reign of Queen Victoria (1837–1901), when the small bouquets became a popular fashion accessory.” My tussie mussie is 12" inches tall. In the Pazzles Craft Room Library you will find many files to help you dress up your “basket.”
You've likely got a pile of spring themed photos waiting for a home. We've just finished up the Easter holiday and everything is blooming. Gardeners are busy planning and kids are dreaming of summer. Spring is well underway here in Idaho. Our Project Patterns in the InVue Software make it so easy to create the perfect layout to document your spring. Once you have downloaded the files you can open the Project in the InVue software and simply click to place different elements on your page. They are perfectly sized for the page and you can mix and match the elements to make dozens of different pages from one project.
A beautiful collection of monograms surrounded by a leafy wreath. Beautiful for custom gifts or home decor!
In real life I stink at making wreaths. I've tried and failed a few times, so I was pleasantly surprised when my paper wreaths turned out. I created these wreaths in the InVue software and it turns out having an undo button is a handy thing. If there was an undo button in real life I'm sure I could master real wreath making too.
A daffodil planter to brighten your home and mark the beginning of spring! All files for this project came from the Craft Room library!
The first of March usually marks the beginning of the winter thaw here in Idaho. This year it has been strangely mild and tulips are already starting the shoot out of the ground. Some of you in the US have had record breaking snow this year and your tulips are buried beneath two feet of snow. Either way, spring will come! Our latest cutting collection Life In Bloom captures all of the beauty of early spring and makes it easy to share the bits and pieces of the season that bring you joy. Cut out the individual layers or use these files for Print and Cut.
