This past weekend we received a message from a Craft Room member on our Facebook page asking how to make a round monogram. During our conversation she mentioned that round monograms are really popular. Some are even cutting them out of vinyl and putting them on their toenails! She just couldn't quite figure out how to make her own.

Today we are sharing this tag card that can be made simply or embellished into something amazing.
This Hydrangea hanging ball, or pomander, would make a beautiful wedding decoration. It can also be used as decoration in the home. I made this one to resemble a hydrangea but it could be a fall chrysanthemum by using golds and rusty reds. If you change the colors to red and green you can have a poinsettia ball. The Inspiration makes short work of cutting all of the flower pieces. (I cannot imagine punching each one out individually.) The project is perfect for working on while watching a movie or your favorite tv show. Older kids can help by poking the pins through the center of the florets. But be warned! They will likely want one for their room too.
Have you seen the New Images added to our Image Library on Friday? The latest group included three cards. The Hello Card just begged to be recreated. It was so simple and yet it had so much potential! I could envision several different ways to interpret it.
I love this card for a couple reasons. First of all it is a wonderful way to use up small scraps you have laying around. Secondly, it can easily be adapted to any color theme which means it is easy to make this a girl card too! I also love that it is just classic and elegant. Wow! The actual DAY, Valentine's Day, really snuck up on me! I have been making valentine themed projects for Pazzles for a month now but totally missed the fact that I needed to get things done for my Grandkids for today. As I was working on redoing the video tutorial for Subtract Weld, it occurred to me that it was the perfect technique to use to create a quick and easy table setting for Valentine's day.

I love ruffles and pleats. They can soften a project that is too stark and add class to something that is too simple. Usually, I use fabric ruffled ribbons to add to my projects. But pretty as the ruffled and pleated fabric trims are, they can be a costly addition to my design. Recently I decided to try my hand at making my own ruffled and pleated ribbon out of paper.

Over the last few weeks, I have been watching my friends post over on Facebook their first day of school pictures. It has been especially fun to see those that have seniors, because they are posting both the very first day of school ever photos, along with first day of senior year. As I have been seeing these photos, it really got me more excited about this weeks project of the Schoolhouse Mini Album.
