Getting the Most From Technical ...

I take a lot of tech support calls during the week and I know how important your time is. When we are on the phone or a chat together I want to make the most of our time. So I have put together a list of things to do before you call in and things to tell me when you call so that you can get the most out of your technical support.

Make Your Own Box

One of the most requested video topics is based on a class that I teach at the Pazzles Retreats. I have come up with a fast way to make boxes that virtually eliminates line guides and rulers. After the ladies see how I do it at the retreats, they always ask if I will do a video lesson on my method. Since I have not wanted to reveal my "secrets" before I taught the class, I have waited until now to share it with all of you.

May Challenge Winner!

It's that time again, time to announce our winner of the month for our challenge! This month the challenge was to create a Father's day project. Projects that are "manly" can be quiet a challenge indeed but you guys really rose to the occasion. If you haven't already, make sure to check out all the Father's Day projects!

Hot Air Balloon Card

I was inspired to make this card for my mother because riding in a hot air balloon is on her bucket list.I have gotten so used to having the freedom to create whatever I want on the Inspiration I tend to kind of forget how "the rest of the world" lives! Shaped cards like this one are super easy to make. I made a video a while back on shaped cards so if you haven't seen it I am including it with this blog so that the next time you need a special card for a special gift you will know exactly how to make it!

No Class May 20 & ...

I will be in Chicago at the Retreat this weekend, there will not be any classes.   This is a great time to review past classes and/or check out more videos.  Just be sure you use it as a chance to do some crafting.  Have a great week.

Party Cups

Custom Party Cups

Have you ever gone to the party store to buy paper goods for a party? I seem to want to take things up a notch especially for graduation and baby events. I have found myself wandering the aisles looking at all the great paper plates, napkins, cups and banners. I might even put them in my cart and then...I pull most of it back out again. It is so expensive! It also seems like I can never find the right colors of paper goods to match the graduation colors.

Create a Mosaic Grid (May ...

I am going to showing you how to create your own mosaic grids. You will learn how to make the initial grid, then make adjustments to add different elements to personalize it. Classes start Sunday 7:00pm CST, Monday 5:00am CST and 1:00pm CST. Join us by going to Klo's Classroom and Enter Classroom, join as a guest.

Blade and Blade Holder Reference ...

I love a quick reference guide, and I have no doubt you do too. So I have put together this quick reference guide for all of the questions that you may have about your blade holder and blades.

Covering Chipboard Shapes

Have you noticed all of the chipboard shapes available? There are letters and shapes both simple and more detailed. Do you ever find one particular shape that is just begging you to buy it and turn it into something wonderful? And have you ever bought one of those shapes and spent hours painting it, or hand tracing and cutting paper to go on it? I have to admit that in the past I have passed up those fun shapes because I did not want to spend a lot of time making the project. Plus, why buy a chipboard shape when I can cut chipboard on my Inspiration?

Teapot Box

I've made a lot of box patterns during my time at Pazzles, and I mean a LOT. I am, if I may so say without sounding too conceited, pretty good at it. Other people are gifted at making scrapbook pages, cards, altered arts etc. but as for me, boxes are where it is at. While I am proud of every box I make, some just have a little something extra that makes me ever so proud. This is one of those boxes. I love all the curves of this box and I love how well it emulates a real tea pot!

Border Project (May 6 & ...

I'm so excited for class this week. We are going to be doing a project. I will be showing you how to take a border piece, put it together with another piece that you can use for either a pocket page on your scrapbook page OR turn it into a fabulous and fun card. Don't miss it. Classes are Sunday at 7pm CST, Monday 5 am CST and Monday 1 pm CST. Be sure and check the Time Conversion Chart for your time zone. To join the class, just go to Klo's Classroom, then Enter Classroom and join as a Guest. See you there.

Not only does it make a nice gift filled with sweet treats and money for the lucky grad, but it’s also a great way for guests to remember this special event as well.

Image Center Retirement

Whoa don't panic! We are NOT shutting down the image library with downloadable images at the Pazzles Craft Room. So what is the Image Center? The Image Center is a feature of our original version of Pazzles.com where members could purchase credits and buy images individually. However this image center has slowly become more and more obsolete with the introduction of our new library here at the Craft Room. So we have decided it is time to retire the Image Center. The Image Center will be shut down on May 31st, 2012.

What Papers Do You Love ...

The one thing that we all have in common is our love of paper. There are a lot of different brands, types, textures and as a result each of these will impact the quality of your cuts. In your experience what papers seem to give you the best results for your crafting projects?

The “Must Know” Shortcut

We all love shortcuts, right? They simplify our lives and help us get things done faster. We all love finding the shortcut to the grocery store or a shortcut to cleaning the bathroom. There are dozens of shortcuts for the Inspiration Studio Software and there is a tutorial in the Craft Room video library of all the keyboard shortcuts. It also includes a PDF file of the shortcuts so that you can keep it handy and refer to it often. If there is ONE shortcut that deserves its own tutorial it is the Move Point shortcut.

No Class (April 29 & ...

There are NO CLASSES on Sunday or Monday morning, (I will not get home soon enough), however, I will be doing the Monday afternoon class (1:00pm CST). We will be doing the class from last week that I was unable to teach due to technical difficulties. Please join me on Monday at 1:00pm CST. Check the Time Conversion Chart if you are unsure at the time in your area. To join us, simply go to Klo's Classroom and Enter Classroom, join as a Guest.

Mother’s Day Easel Card

The easel cards that have become popular recently seemed perfect for a Mother's Day card. I love the idea of having a card that is also a keepsake to be displayed and enjoyed. While searching for ideas, the soft florals and scallops that are prevalent in the UK right now kept popping up. I knew they would make the card even more special.

Crafty Shopper Special: Sakura Stardust ...

Sakura gel pens have always been one of our favorite pens to use in the pen tool. Why? First of all they are great pens with a wonderfully even flow - which means no unexpected splotches or skipping while you are drawing or journaling using the pen tool. Second of all the come in so many beautiful colors and types. One of our all time favorite Sakura pens are the Stardust pens. So of course we had to offer these great pens as a Crafty Shopper special! We have a limited quantity of these pens and our last Craft Shopper special sold out in 24 hours so don't wait or it might be too late!

Texas Retreat Memories

The Texas Retreat is over and life goes on but I will never forget the wonderful people who attended. Viv's excited face when she figured something our, Patricia's happy smile, Curt's gentlemanly behavior and Sarahbeth's sweet young face are just a few of my happy memories. We laughed together, got frustrated together, ate scrumptious food and even cried together. I may have been the teacher but I promise you that I was blessed to be privileged to get to know all of you. Thank you, thank you dear friends and I hope we get to see each other again soon!

What Helps Keep You Organized?

While some of us may be thinking spring cleaning and maintenance to our homes both inside and out; don’t forget about keeping your crafting areas clean and organized too! Share with us some of your own organizational skills that will help other Craft Room members stay as organized as you are.
