6 different themed cards where the shape fits the contours of the design that suite all occasions!
Christmas is a time when precious memories are made. Most of us snap photos as a way to preserve the feeling of that special time. If you are like me you take hundreds of digital photos! But, do you ever get them off of the memory disk, print them and put them on a scrapbook page? I have to admit that it seems like I rarely get around to making the pages that I envision when I pose my family for a photo. This year, I plan to break that pattern of procrastination and get those photos printed and down on a page. In anticipation of that resolution, I have designed four different scrapbook pages for this month's Project pattern
Turn simple glass containers into special gifts with a custom etched design and a delicious treat or bath scrub inside - instructions and bath salt recipes included!
This Gable Gift Box is the perfect way to make a gift special inside and out! You can cut a window in the side and line it with plastic to show off your treats or make a lovely label and add a special message!
You don't have to look very far to see the obvious signals that we are well into the holiday season. Halloween is almost here and before you know it, we will be roasting our turkeys and putting up the Christmas tree. 'Tis the season for crafting and if you are like me, you are already thinking about whether you will make your cards or buy them this year. Allow me to help you get the card making process started. This months project pattern is a fun tri-fold card that can be used for the upcoming holidays and on into the new year.
I am not sure whether it is nostalgia or something else that draws us to those little wooden letter tiles but it seems that we all love them. This month's Project Pattern includes the traditional letter tiles that we all recognize but it also includes ones for punctuation, numbers, and shapes. There are even some with fancy corners that have room for you to add your own font. Whether you make them big enough to hang as a banner, or small enough to add to a card these tiles will spark you creativity! Use them for wall decorations or on bulletin boards, make them in traditional colors or pink and blue for a baby. The options are endless.
Tags are a quick and easy way to add a personal touch to almost anything. They can be used alone on gifts and homemade treats. Or you can use them as embellishments on cards and scrapbook pages. Whichever way you use them, these sweet tags will add a bit of joy to any project!
Nothing says summer quite like the sweet, crisp taste or the bright red and green colors of a watermelon. This party set will bring that summer happiness to any occasion!
Yes it is that time of year again. A time when the aisles are filled with pink and […]

Halloween decorations are popping up all over and party plans are in full swing. What words come to your mind when you think of Halloween? I think: black and orange, spider webs and bats, pumpkins and, of course, sweet treats! I thought it would be fun to combine my favorite Halloween themes into a spooky cupcake stand that will make your party treats look "spook-ta-cular"!
Have you noticed all of the amazing projects that are using Split Letter Monograms? I have seen them on wedding invitations, as wall art, on mirrors and for decorating glass candle holders, to name just a few. Although they look complicated, they are not difficult to make. The Inspiration Studio Software makes it so easy that hardest part is choosing the font!
Today's tutorial features Center Line Vectorization which is one of many vectorizing, or auto-tracing tools, in the Inspiration Studio Software. You may not even know it exists and yet, you really should become familiar with it. It will help you convert clipart to single-stroke line art. Then you can use it in Pen Tool designs, piercing and rhinestone projects.
Pazzles Craft Room will be down for maintenance beginning at approximately 10am Mountain Standard Time, on Tuesday, September 17, 2013. Maintenance could last 2-3 hours. Thank you for your understanding. Need something to do during the downtime? Join us on Facebook, Pinterest, Instagram, Twitter, and YouTube!
From time to time, I revisit a feature in the Inspiration Studio Software that I do not use often. Sometimes, I discover that it is even more useful and amazing than I had originally realized. I love it when that happens! Today's feature is one of those "wow!" moments. The Personal Path Cropping feature is truly a time saver and I will be using it frequently from now on.

Pazzles has two retreats left in 2013- Atlanta and San Diego. Are you joining us? This weekend is the Atlanta, Georgia retreat and the San Diego retreat is October 18 - 20. We have some FABULOUS projects planned and I can't wait to share them! Klo and I have assembled a line up of techniques and different material types that will take your Pazzles skills to the next level. You will not want to miss this if at all possible! We have extended the San Diego sign up deadline until September 9, so don't delay and have regrets. The San Diego numbers are low and currently we don't have enough to hold the retreat. If you have been planning to sign up - now is the time. Both retreats are for Intermediate and Advanced users. We will be using several different Pazzles tools, advanced vectorizing techniques and different media types. The classes will be seasonal focused so think Fall and Winter. Cards, Gifts, Decor and Scrapbooking projects will all be included. For more information on the retreats and how to sign up, click here. Klo and I hope to see you there!
It has been hot here in Idaho and the forecast predicts temperatures in the 90's for the next 7 days. Even so, the breeze this morning reminded me that fall is right around the corner. I love the colors and themes of Fall! You can never have too many pumpkins and leaves as far as I am concerned. I know many of you have gotten the new Pazzles Pen Tool recently. This Fall Flip It card would be a great project to showcase your pen tool skills.
I had created this file to show off layering and in the process I played with turning one of the layers into a piercing line. I really do love using piercing as a subtle accent. It becomes an unexpected textural surprise on the card.
We have had a lot of requests for more projects using the Engraving Tool. I knew I wanted to do a video on it but I wanted it to be different than what I had done in the past. When I am stuck for ideas, I like to wander the aisles of the craft store to see what inspires me. Recently, I discovered that sequins are coming back in style in a big way, literally.
The first Pazzles University Virtual Retreat is now behind us. I think I am over the exhaustion phase and after reflecting on it, I know it was a success! It is always fun to see someone go from hesitant to gung-ho over the course of two days.
In many ways, the Pazzles Craft Room is similar to your own craft area. It is an ever-changing space that occasionally needs remodeling. As you acquire more supplies, you need to shift things around to accommodate them. You also may need to add a new cabinet, or something to make the place more functional. In the Craft Room we do the same thing. Occasionally we need to step back and ask ourselves if there isn't a better way to store or organize what we already have.
I love making handmade cards and invitations to the point that I just cannot bring myself to use store-bought cards. However, when I need to make 10 or more invitations or cards I begin to question my sanity!! That is when using Print and Cut can save me from becoming a crazy woman. I can still have layers and texture but I don't have to glue all the little pieces together.
