Hello Craft Room friends, Melinda here with you today. My task was to share something with a winter theme. So I decided to use two of the new files in the Craft Room to create this wintery fun birthday card. My daughter came home from an activity a few weeks ago with a super cool folded dimensional snowflake. It was unlike anything I'd seen before. She created it by folding and cutting several pieces of paper and then gluing them together in cool patterns. I knew immediately these would be a hit with grownup kids too, so I created a few for you to cut out.
I have really been wanting to work on my Australia and New Zealand photos. It has been a daunting task to approach since I have over 2000 photos to go through. There are so many great photos that I have had a hard time just starting. I realized with the amount of photos that I have, pocket pages would be the perfect idea to use in conjunction with regular layouts. There are a number of systems out there to choose from, or you can just get basic pocket page protectors. One of the funniest memories I have of our trip was the discovery of the mailboxes out in the rural areas of Australia. At first we were confused, so we asked someone about them. Apparently, the kangaroos are able to 'break in' to the regular type mailboxes, so people get creative in ways to keep the kangaroos out.
Personal planners are all the rage right now. Many scrapbook paper companies have come out with their own version of a planner and I suspect we'll see many more released next month at CHA (Craft & Hobby Show). Scrappers are using them not only to keep track of their schedule, but also to document bits and pieces of their lives. Have you jumped on the planner bandwagon yet?
