My latest obsession is gold glitter paper. I can't get enough of it. My favorites based on color and cutting ability are the American Crafts Pow Glitter Paper (caramel) and the Heidi Swapp Marquee Love Paper Pad (Gold). Both are so pretty and cut so nicely.
For many years I have been saying I wanted to create a nice backyard garden area that was fun and functional. As I have looked at magazines, online and just chatted with people, I realized I had the ability to not only have a nice garden, but with my Pazzles, some garage sale finds, spray paint and some vinyl, I was able to get a good start on my creation.

Each year for May Day (May 1), my kids and I make and leave baskets on neighbors and friend's doors. Our basket takes a different form every year. This year I have made a tussie mussie to stand in as a May Day Basket. A tussie mussie is traditionally a very small bouquet that is usually worn on the breast. Sometimes it is larger and held in the hands. Wikipedia says “The term tussie-mussie comes from the reign of Queen Victoria (1837–1901), when the small bouquets became a popular fashion accessory.” My tussie mussie is 12" inches tall. In the Pazzles Craft Room Library you will find many files to help you dress up your “basket.”

In real life I stink at making wreaths. I've tried and failed a few times, so I was pleasantly surprised when my paper wreaths turned out. I created these wreaths in the InVue software and it turns out having an undo button is a handy thing. If there was an undo button in real life I'm sure I could master real wreath making too.

The first of March usually marks the beginning of the winter thaw here in Idaho. This year it has been strangely mild and tulips are already starting the shoot out of the ground. Some of you in the US have had record breaking snow this year and your tulips are buried beneath two feet of snow. Either way, spring will come! Yesterday was the first day back to school after the holiday break for my kids. Saturday night the weatherman was predicting a big storm headed our way with snow Sunday through Monday. While I groaned aloud, they started celebrating the possibility of a snow day and thus another day of freedom. I made a snow day layout with the weather forecast in mind. But guess what? It didn't happen. It rained instead, and they were back to the grind yesterday.
One of my friends was going to throw out an old home décor sign and asked if I wanted it. I originally said no. The sign was funny but nothing I would use. Then I got to thinking about it and told her I had changed my mind and I would love to have it. The whole time I was thinking about how I was going to repurpose it. I decided to make a winter sign instead of a holiday sign, so I could use it throughout the season. I was going to sand the sign down and repaint it but then I decided to just flip the sign over and use the back, as the base coat was the exact color I needed.
If the weather outside is frightful, stay inside and capture a winter scene with a snow globe card. This collection features eight different winter scenes in a cute tri-fold shaped card plus sentiments you can mix and match for the perfect card.
This fun turkey makes a great decoration for the mantel, or an end table, or use it as a Thanksgiving table decoration. If you want to use it for place cards, be sure and look to see what Design Team member, Melinda Beltran did with a few modifications. When I made the original turkey box a few years ago, I had no idea that it would remain one of my all time favorite projects that I had created. I have done a few modifications to the file to make it quicker and easier to assemble, without taking away from the fun personality of this character.
The chevron design trend is around to stay and this collection of bold monograms will look great on scrapbook pages and cards, or to customize your whole house.
