Frosty Fun Birthday Card

Hello Craft Room friends, Melinda here with you today. My task was to share something with a winter theme. So I decided to use two of the new files in the Craft Room to create this wintery fun birthday card. Often I create birthday cards that aren't necessarily specific to the season in which they happen, but this card is going to my niece who was born in the first week of January. Plus she lives in Michigan, so I thought a cute little snowman card would fit the bill.

Folded Dimensional Paper Snowflake

Folded Dimensional Paper Snowflakes

My daughter came home from an activity a few weeks ago with a super cool folded dimensional snowflake. It was unlike anything I'd seen before. She created it by folding and cutting several pieces of paper and then gluing them together in cool patterns. I knew immediately these would be a hit with grownup kids too, so I created a few for you to cut out.

Christmas Memories Project Pattern

Christmas is a time when precious memories are made. Most of us snap photos as a way to preserve the feeling of that special time. If you are like me you take hundreds of digital photos! But, do you ever get them off of the memory disk, print them and put them on a scrapbook page? I have to admit that it seems like I rarely get around to making the pages that I envision when I pose my family for a photo. This year, I plan to break that pattern of procrastination and get those photos printed and down on a page. In anticipation of that resolution, I have designed four different scrapbook pages for this month's Project pattern

You’ll be using this method so often you’ll wonder why you didn’t do it earlier!

Winter Swag made entirely of paper

Paper Winter Swag and Pinecone ...

I love decorating for the holidays, but Christmas goes by so quickly, and then all the decorations have to come down almost as fast as they went up. This will not be the case if you make this pretty winter swag. It can stay up all the way through the winter season. This winter swag is a more difficult project to put together but if you follow the step by step directions it will turn out great! Your friends and family will be wowed that you made it completely out of paper!

12 Gifts of Christmas-Day #5: ...

Join in on the fun and creative Gifts and Recipes in a Jar.  These are such quick and easy ways to put together a gift for a neighbor, friend or co-worker. There are three different concept types here for your creativity.

Pop Out Box

When Samantha shared this concept of a project to me, I was immediately excited to turn it into a project that would be a great gift. This is what Samantha said for her inspiration, "Christmas has always been my favorite time of the year! From sledding down giant hills to sitting around the Christmas tree and drinking hot cocoa, there is nothing really that isn't magical about this glorious time of the year.  By creating a miniature living room with letters to Santa and even a fireplace, I feel like this would be a fun and unique way to create a gift." Well, she was right, with a place for money and a gift card all in a self contained box that turns into it's own special scene, you can create that magical feeling with this very special gift.

Paper Snow Globe Christmas Project

12 Gifts of Christmas-Day #1: ...

As the Christmas season rolls around each year, my family looks forward to our tradition of watching as many Christmas movies as we can. My favorites are the classic stop motion movies that were on television when I was a kid, like Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer. I loved to think that every scene was created in miniature and filmed one step at a time. These little snow globes remind me of those miniature scenes and I hope you will enjoy them. The file features several different options so you can mix and match your snow globe to your liking. You can cut them all from white for a monochromatic look or cut each layer in color. I used glass bowls I found at Dollar Tree store. They have a 3.5" opening and 3.5" flat bottom. If you can't find the exact bowl, substitute with a bigger size and adjust the files.

Christmas Party Photo Booth Props

Every year, I LOVE to plan fun and simple parties for all of my friends for the holidays. Thanksgiving/Fall Cutlery Pockets

One thing I love about this Design Team position with Pazzles is that I get to try new things. You see, we don't celebrate Thanksgiving here in Australia, so creating a project for that was great fun for me. As some of you will know, I love to host a dinner party or two and that is an excuse to make things for the table! This cutlery pocket was an excellent opportunity to try out something new for my dinner tables! Creating great table décor is at your fingertips with the amazing craft room files available.

Tri-Fold Holiday Cards Project Pattern

You don't have to look very far to see the obvious signals that we are well into the holiday season. Halloween is almost here and before you know it, we will be roasting our turkeys and putting up the Christmas tree. 'Tis the season for crafting and if you are like me, you are already thinking about whether you will make your cards or buy them this year. Allow me to help you get the card making process started. This months project pattern is a fun tri-fold card that can be used for the upcoming holidays and on into the new year.

Sweet Treats

Hello crafty friends, Melinda with you here today. October is here already. Whether you go trick or treating or attend fall festivals or even Trunk or Treat, there is a lot of "sweetness" involved with this month.  So I decided to create this super fun treat box-bag, that you can put some fun treats and sweets in for your favorite little or not so little person...

Stand Up Pumpkin Box

These stand up pumpkin boxes have a dual purpose. They can be made for decoration plus they open up to store treats or gifts.

Fall Leaf Decorative Banner

Despite the fact that it's still swimsuit weather here in Kuna, Idaho, the calendar insists that fall is approaching. I love decorating my house for the season with autumn colors, and I love baking everything pumpkin, so I am for sure looking forward to the weather starting to change. I made this cute little fall banner this week to hang on my mantle. Maybe Mother Nature will see it through the window my hint will work. Until I have real autumn leaves to enjoy, I'll enjoy the paper version.
