November Challenge Winner

Congratulations to mswhizz for being November's Challenge winner. This month was wonderful. I love seeing the different things that people use their Pazzles Inspiration for and with this challenge, we got to see an amazing variety of things from fabric being cut for a quilt, to a pop can being used for an amazing ornament, plus vinyl, iron-ons, and more. The ornaments on the Christmas Tree Advent Calendar (released last Friday) are so amazing that I thought they were worth a second look.  Even if you do not follow the Advent tradition you will want to make the ornaments; they are truly mini works of art. Use them as they are or enlarge them. Either way they will be the perfect compliment to a holiday tag, card or gift. It won't take long for you to come up with ways to make them uniquely your own:

In a few short weeks Christmas baking will be in full swing. Customized Tree: November 18 and ...

We will be learning to create customized name trees. These can be used for gift tags, cards, or even name placement cards. Thanksgiving is still a week away, but today we put up our Christmas Tree at the Pazzles Office. It's the perfect kind of tree, no falling needles and no need to water it, because it's a vinyl wall tree! We are thrilled to introduce you to our Christmas Tree Advent Calendar. It may seem a little early for a Christmas Tree, but we wanted you to have plenty of time to get this project completed before December 1st. Elf on a Ledge

We haven’t even made it through Thanksgiving yet and I’m already looking forward to setting my tree up. In fact I will have it set up this weekend. With that in mind, I’ll need a good elf to keep an eye on friends and family when they come to visit—after all, I need help determining who’s been naughty and nice. This little elf will be just the thing I need.

Inking and Chalking Tips

Cutting out amazing images in any color, shape and size: isn't that the magic of the Pazzles Inspiration electronic cutter? I can cut paper shapes and combine layers, colors and textures to create a visual feast for the eyes. If you stop with the paper and glue you have a great project. However, if you want an amazing project you need to move beyond the paper. You can add depth and character by inking or chalking the paper to add shadow and highlights. Suddenly, like magic, the flat pieces of paper have curves and dimension.

We saw that quite a few of you voted for scrapbook pages when we asked what images you wanted to see in the Craft Room Library. We will happily create some complete scrapbook page cutting files in the future, but for today we wanted to showcase a layout made by pulling some existing files from the Library!

I am sorry for the delay in getting this posted, as mentioned in last week's class, I was going to try and teach from my hotel room, but my connection is not reliable, so there will be no classes this week.

Pilgrim Hat and Bonnet

Maybe it's just me, but I'm a little partial to miniature things made of paper. These Thanksgiving Pilgrim hats are no exception. I think they are so sweet and I can't wait to make a dozen of them. They would be so cute on each child's plate at the kid's table; a hat for the boys and a bonnet for the girls. Or, attach the hat version to a headband for a fun photo prop.

Celebrate culture with international paper ...

I'm fascinated by other cultures. I love to learn about traditional festivals, clothing, food, and—of course—crafts! I blame being a military brat. When I was a kid, my family packed up and moved every three years. I've lived in five different states and one foreign country, which has given me a bit of wanderlust. World travel is something I aspire to do someday, perhaps when I retire. But in the meantime, I will satisfy my globe-trotting urges by celebrating foreign culture! Today's Goodie Bag will cover some international paper crafts... and maybe some tutorial links!

November Challenge

I am so excited, I have been waiting to post this challenge.  It is going to be an anything goes challenge. The only rule we have (other than you have to use your Pazzles Creative Cutter), is that your project needs to be completed during the challenge. After you have completed your item, be sure and go add it to the November Challenge Folder. If you are not sure how to add your photo to the folder, be sure and go here to learn how to do that.
