I had created this file to show off layering and in the process I played with turning one of the layers into a piercing line. I really do love using piercing as a subtle accent. It becomes an unexpected textural surprise on the card.

These upgrades are going to knock your socks off! Are you ready? Here we go! You already know that Pazzles Craft Room has one of the biggest cutting file libraries on the web. Now, our Library features SVG files right alongside the WPC files.
The challenge for this month is using fonts or numbers in a unique way. You can use them as a creative element on a page or project, or use them as the base. Just have fun and get cutting. I decided to create a card for my mother this month. I created this card using a 6 ½ x 5 ½ base card and the Scallop Mat cutting file found in the gallery. I then went ahead and created a rectangle mat with a sentiment and rounded off the corners using the tools in the software.
Even though I am late announcing this months winner, I think you will all be excited to congratulate chefntot on her win. She did this wonderful cascade card. This months challenge has been one of my favorites to see all the creative projects. If you haven't taken the time to look yet, be sure and go to the July Challenge Folder and check them out.
