The first Pazzles University Virtual Retreat is now behind us. I think I am over the exhaustion phase and after reflecting on it, I know it was a success! It is always fun to see someone go from hesitant to gung-ho over the course of two days.
My daughter spends hours reading every day. A weekly trip to the public library is never enough for her. She burns through a stack of books in just a few days. I caught her laying on the couch with her books the other day and decided it was a perfect moment to document.
A gorgeously detailed, vintage Grandfather Clock that looks fancy but is so easy to make! The open panels of the clock are covered with clear transparency so this would make a gorgeous gift box filled with treats.

One of the features of Inspiration Studio Pro is that you do not need to have the Inspiration plugged in to your computer in order to create and save. Instead of requiring the Inspiration to be plugged in to your computer in order to use the software, Inspiration Studio Pro uses a registration number to authenticate your software. So what happens if you experience a glitch in the software or something doesn’t seem to be working quite right? Caution—do not uninstall your software! You get three installs per registration code. If you uninstall and then re-install, you have used up two installations. So what should you do instead of uninstalling? Make sure you have the updates in place, and if you continue to have problems please call in and speak with Technical Support at 1-866-729-9537 x 1005. Tech Support is knowledgeable and helpful and in most cases will have you back up and running in no time.
During the early summer mornings I am often woken up by the singing of the birds in our garden. Recently, my children have been filling up our wooden bird boxes in the garden with nuts, which reminded me of the House Box that I had seen in the Pazzles Craft Room.
In many ways, the Pazzles Craft Room is similar to your own craft area. It is an ever-changing space that occasionally needs remodeling. As you acquire more supplies, you need to shift things around to accommodate them. You also may need to add a new cabinet, or something to make the place more functional. In the Craft Room we do the same thing. Occasionally we need to step back and ask ourselves if there isn't a better way to store or organize what we already have.

There are a lot of really great images here in the Craft Room library—designs that range from basic silhouettes to the more elaborate paper piecing images. I love the little details in paper piecing designs. That got me thinking how much fun these die cuts can be on a scrapbook page or card, like moving propellers on planes or rotating wheels on cars and buses and even windows and doors that open and close. It reminded me how awesome all those pop up books were when I was a kid.
Last week we learned how to cover our notebooks. In the last class we had a fabulous question about adding an inside folder that would hold bulkier pages. I've been pinching my pennies lately as I've just bought my first home. Ouch! My wallet still hurts. As I've discovered, homes come with their own set of issues, one of mine being decorating. My new home is quite a bit bigger than my old apartment and I've got bare walls and empty shelves. It's lacking that homey feel.

I have been waiting for Pazzles to post a completely round box cutting file so was thrilled when the Diploma Box was posted a few months ago! This little round box measures about 3 1/2”x 2” deep and uses only four of the cutting file pieces.
I love making handmade cards and invitations to the point that I just cannot bring myself to use store-bought cards. However, when I need to make 10 or more invitations or cards I begin to question my sanity!! That is when using Print and Cut can save me from becoming a crazy woman. I can still have layers and texture but I don't have to glue all the little pieces together.

The approaching arrival of the royal baby in the UK has me thinking of castles, crowns, and princesses. If you have a little princess at your house, then today's project is sure to be a big hit. This album features seven shaped pages and would make an adorable scrapbook mini album or baby shower advice book. I added several blank pages to the center of mine so it can serve as a little girl's wishes and dreams journal. The beauty of this album as a cutting file, rather than a pre-made album is that you can make as many additional pages as you need to suit the purpose.

We’ve received wonderful news! Two of my nieces are expecting, so I decided to get some cards ready. For this card I started out using a brown base card size of 4" by 7". I decided to go with a flower and button theme for this card.
This is for all of you card makers that are using the Inspiration to cut your welded sentiments and embellishments. Depending on the font selection that you use, it can be pretty easy to get discouraged with the quality of the cuts. One of the reasons for this is because of the amount of detail and the generally small size of the words that go on such a small palette like a card.
