Easy Thank You Card: Layered ...

Today I am sharing a super quick and easy card featuring files from the Craft Room Library. I wanted to create a card that could possibly work for a masculine recipient. Here is what I came up with. My finished card size is 5" x 6.5". My base was from regular Bazzill Kraft cardstock. I started by cutting a white mat an 1/8” down from my base size. I then cut another mat from patterned paper an 1/8" smaller than that, using a small grid patterned paper. Next, I used the Chevron Paper Lace file from the library and sized it to 4.5" x 6". I cut it from regular blue cardstock. I then used the Downy Feather file and cut two of them from another piece of patterned paper.

Easy Thank You Card

It’s so lovely to receive gifts, but sometimes it takes a while to find a Thank You card that is as special as the gift received. I hate the shop bought cards as they seem so impersonal, and now that I have my Pazzles Inspiration I would much rather create one myself. So, I have decided to create a Thank You card using my Pazzles and just change the patterned papers, to suit the person who gives me a gift. I designed my simple base card using kraft cardstock and selected the Round Corner tool to give it a softer look. I learnt this by watching the Rounding Corners video tutorial in the Craft Room Videos.

Ice Skate Box

Ice Skate Gift Box

This ice skate box makes a great gift box or party centerpiece. Cut two Ice Skate and one Cereal Box from the Craft Room Library. No need to change the sizes of these as they are perfect just as they are. Assemble the cereal box. Apply decorative paper to the ice skates and cereal box. Cut two 3" x 6" pieces of white corrugated card stock. Align and glue the bottom edge of each corrugated piece to the bottom edges of the longer sides of the cereal box. The corrugated cardstock not only provides extra support for the project, but looks like leggings.

Welcome 2014 Party Hat

Happy New Year to all my fellow Pazzler’s. It has been a challenging year for me, as I have been a Pazzles Design Team Member for the best part of the 2013. I have learnt so much about being part of a Design Team, but more importantly I have learnt so much more about my Pazzles Inspiration and capability of the software. It has been an enjoyable creative journey and I hope those of you that have received a new Pazzles Inspiration Creative Cutter from Santa, will share your creative journey with fellow Pazzler’s here in the Pazzles Craft Room.

Layered Prize Ribbons Using The ...

Isn’t it fun when you get an award? Your heart starts racing, you have an uncontrollable smile on your face and maybe a little more color in your cheeks than normal. I think it’s almost as much fun to give the award as to receive it! Can you think of someone in your life that has reached a milestone or is just a great person? There are lots of reasons to celebrate a person or an event. How about putting one in your child’s lunch box just for being “The Best Kid Ever”? Or do what I did, and use it on a layout. I always use my Pazzles Inspiration Studio software to design my layouts. I love that I can easily move the elements of my page around, change my mind and move them again...lol. It is also fabulous that I can pull files right from the Craft Room Library, size them to fit, and use them on my layout. It sure makes the design part of my layouts go smoother and I know everything will be the exact size I need when I cut it out.

Ornament Shaped Card

I recently added the NEW pen tool to my collection of Pazzles tools. I have got to say that I love the flexibility of using lots of different sized pens of all shapes and sizes. So, I thought I would have a try at creating my own word circle sentiment. I used a simple Christmas Ornament file to create the base of my shaped card which I cut out of red cardstock and layered with patterned paper. (See Making Shaped Cards video tutorial).

Christmas Votive Candle Holders

Candles are one of my favorite parts of the holidays. I love the smells, the glow, and the warmth they add to a room. Sometimes though, the plain glass containers can be, well, a little boring. And really, who wants to look at the label or the other side with the warnings? I know I don’t. In about 15 minutes you can decorate them. All I did was gather a few files from the Craft Room Library and size them to fit my candles. The candles I had were small candles about 2.5". Gather some vellum, a couple buttons, some pearls, and some adhesive, and you are ready to go.

Christmas Treat Bags

Santa and elf treat bags that are quick to make and could easily be made in volume whilst still cost effective!

Fall Thankful Box Using The ...

Fall reminds me of pumpkin patches, beautiful warm colors, and pumpkin rolls. Every year I like to make pumpkin rolls and slice them to be packaged as gifts. I love that my Inspiration makes it so easy to be able to put together a cute box in no time, to make these sweets extra special. I saw the Cupcake Favor Box in the library and thought this would be perfect! I simply enlarged it a bit more. To decorate my box I used several cutting files which can be found in the Craft Room Library.

Fall Days Woodgrain Card

I came across some great cutting files in the Pazzles Library and was inspired to create a fall card. I needed something quick and cute, so I decided to use the print and cut technique. To create this card I used the Fall Days Title, Wood Grain Overlay 4x5, and the Banner Tag cutting files. I used Crystal Effects to give the wood grain more detail, as well as Stickles glitter on the Fall Days Title.

Vinyl Candle Holders

Vinyl Decorated Candle Holders

I like to browse my local Hardware store and find great bargains to use with my Pazzles Inspiration Creative Cutter. The other day I found these glass hurricane lamps including the candles, on sale! There were only two left, at a great discounted price, so I snapped them up. The lamps were lovely but rather plain, and I thought I could make them look more special with a touch of vinyl using my Pazzles.

Sweet Pumpkins Shaped Card

I love this time of the year when the leaves on the trees change colors, and the pumpkins are filling the shelves in the supermarket. I found the Three Pumpkins cutting file in the Craft Room Library. Shaped cards are really easy to create out of many cutting files, and there is a great video tutorial in the Craft Room called Making Shaped Cards to help you learn the simple steps.

Wine Bottle Wrapper

One of the many things that I enjoy about the Pazzles Inspiration is the amazing capability of the software. This wine gift wrap was actually formed by just joining six Skinny Tags together. Size the skinny tag to 9" height and then join six of them together with kiss cut lines between each one. This can be easily done by selecting the Move Point tool and using the Cut Path advanced function to separate out the left and right sides of the interior tags after you break group. The Craft Room video Construction Points is helpful to understand this process.

Halloween Eyeball Box

I got my eye on you! Are your Halloween treat boxes made yet? If not, this is a quick and easy treat box to make at the last minute. I only used two files to make it. The Round Box File and the Eyeball Card cutting file. I cut and assembled the round treat box as is. I enlarged the eye part of the eyeball card so the circle of the eyeball covered the top flap of the round box. Then I just glued the eye on the top of the box. Draw in the white reflection mark on the black circle part of the eyeball with a white gel pen.

Autumn Splendor Fall Layout

Good morning crafty friends! Today I am sharing a project I created for the Pazzles Design Team. This layout features pretty patterned paper from the DCWV Autumn Melody Stack as well as some beautiful files from the Pazzles Craft Room. I used several files from the Craft Room Library: Autumn Harvest Sunflower, Monarch Butterfly and Butterfly 001. I created the lattice frame in my Inspiration Studio Pro software.

Halloween Characters Treat Boxes

I’m always looking for some sort of treat box or gift to give out as party favors, or small gifts to my neighbors or the teachers and staff at my kid’s school. These treat boxes fit the bill perfectly! They were made using the Soda Can box file for the base, and the faces from the Witch, Frankenstein, Dracula, Lil Blue Monster, Mummy and the scar for Frankenstein from the Franky and Friends cutting file. All of these files can be found in the Craft room for reference.

October Challenge Reminder

You have until October 31st this month to get your October challenge entries submitted. Here is a reminder of this month's topic: This month it seems that everyone is having fun creating decorations, goody bags, etc for Halloween. No matter how you celebrate the month, be sure and use your Pazzles to help make it easier. That being said, the October challenge is to do something ‘halloweenie’ or something you generally celebrate in the month of October. You can find full challenge details on the October Challenge Post. In the meantime here are few projects from some Pazzles Design Team Members to get you in a spooky mood!

Pen Tool Fall Acorn Card

Fall is such a beautiful season, with leaves changing color and the crisp, cool air. I created my card with thoughts of my years growing up in the northern part of the country. When deciding how to make my card, I knew I wanted to work with the new Pazzles Pen Tool. I visited Klo’s recent classroom video on how to work with the new pen tool and watched one of the archived sessions. It got me off the ground and running in no time flat.

Trinket Book Box

I found this amazing cutting file on the Boxes and Bags CD. It is a great size for holding small gifts or photos. I enlarged the cutting file so that the size of the box ended up being 4” x 5 3/4”. I used the piercing feature in the software and the Piercing tool to pierce the stitching pattern for the word “Wish” on the side. This cutting file is a true treasure and one I'll be using many more times!

Happy Fall Ya'll

Happy Fall Y’all Framed Sign

Fall is my favorite time of the year. I love to decorate for fall and I love the colors of fall. I was born in the fall, so this quick project was right up my alley. I took several files from the Craft Room Library and combined them to make this cute picture home decor piece for any room. I’m putting mine in the guestroom. The files I used were the Cowgirl Hat, Cowgirl Boots, Pumpkin and Autumn Harvest Wheat Bundle. I didn’t change any of the files except for the cowgirl hat, which I welded the two black pieces into one and added a slit for the pumpkin. I did omit the stem on the pumpkin, resized all the files to fit my 8' x 10' frame and added this adorable stamped face. I used two different fonts for the saying. I layered cardstock and patterned paper and then glued all the parts onto the top layer. Add it to an 8" x 10" frame and it's done.

Halloween Shadow Box Tray

Inspired by the fun paper collection Steam Punk Spells by Graphic 45 and the Authentique Enchanted Halloween Collection, I decided to decorate a shadow box tray with Halloween pictures and several cutting files. All the cutting files can be found in the Pazzles Craft Room Library. To decorate the top of my shadow box tray I used the Flourish Hardware file backed by chipboard and to accent the flourish I added some sequins for some sparkle. I cut out the Spooky cutting file to add on top of the spider web coaster.
